Farewell Dear Leader

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22D0eNlzk3o

A couple of things I noticed while viewing this somber event.

For one, the noticeable lack of tears on the grieving mourners faces, and two, the collection of vintage Town Cars.

This must be a proud moment for Pete!!!!

And as a tribute to Dear Leader, Pete, and the Ford Motor Company, I'll provide another link.

Chas

I watched the parade and kept waiting for the spark module to fail on the land yacht. :D I guess the "mourners" would have pushed him across the finish line.

That is about the phoniest "grieving" I have ever seen.

Amazing, the degree of brainwashing, isn't it?

If you only get your news from one source, what are you supposed to think.

Kinda like Fox news and the Iraq invasion...

At times I feel sorry for you Canadians.

Sitting there in a snowbank, your every move controlled by the USA, nothing to watch on the idiot box but Faux News and the hockey game.

Be advised, in the latest VRWC newsletter, there is talk about invading Canada and taking away the hockey game at the point of a bayonet.

They forget what happened last time we came down to pay them a visit. :)

Wonder how many of them thought our coats were stupid looking. ;)

Ya'll look like Dudley Doright in a fez.

Chas

Bigerik 01-02-2012 03:06 PM

So what were you Yankee soldiers wearing in 1812?

Their proudest moment. I doubt we could whoop'em in a fair fight Chas, you know how they are feared throughout the world, just like the ones still in France.:p

Bigerik 01-02-2012 04:15 PM

So who else has managed to burn down the White House? Huh?

Bigerik 01-02-2012 04:21 PM

Now I remember....

Are you referring to the day Founder James Madison bravely ran like hel....I mean "moved his headquarters" to his plantation?

Sorry, but it's the truth. They got all of the way to Nawlins and Detroit before they met much effective resistance at all. Face it, guys, that is pretty embarrassing.

Didn't King George tell Madison something along the lines of, "It is but by the grace of God that you retain your Independency."?

Madison set up his "Whitehouse for a day" in Brookeville, MD, a small town near both me and Rob. My parents considered buying the old, white frame house across the street from it in the late '60's, but us kids went apoplectic because of its rural location.

merrylander 01-03-2012 07:47 AM

That building is still standing, just as you pass the speed camera. BTW that was an Irish Regiment that burned down the Whitehouse AFAIK.

piece-itpete 01-03-2012 02:58 PM

Danged Irish and their drunken potatoes.

:D

King George (the girls cried?) could say whatever he wanted - he didn't win
