Helene

One of the worst hurricanes to ever hit the US. Over 200 dead and counting. It's a good thing the burnt orange goblin isn't sitting in the Oval Office. Of course, MTG the trailer queen from Georgia is bellowing for the resignation of the FEMA director.

A Tennessee mayor is asking for the people to tone down the rumors, hate and vitriol focused on FEMA and pitch in to help each other. The Hill

Of course Donny is lying - every time his lips are moving.

US Republicans condemn hurricane misinformation spread by their own party
https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-...ty-2024-10-09/

Quote:

Representative Chuck Edwards, who represents a North Carolina district hit hard by flooding caused by Hurricane Helene in late September, called out the "outrageous rumors" spread by "untrustworthy sources trying to spark chaos."

One of the sources of misinformation is fellow Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, who has used both her official congressional social media account and her personal account to spread such misinformation.

"Ask your government if the weather is manipulated or controlled. Did you ever give permission to them to do it? Are you paying for it? Of course you are," Greene wrote in one such post on her official account on Monday.

Edwards directly called out this falsehood in his statement, without naming Greene.
"Nobody can control the weather," he said. "Please make sure you are fact checking what you read online with a reputable source."
MTG. Crazy.

Want proof the Democrats aren't creating/controlling hurricanes? MTG's district and her mutant voters weren't wiped off the map

MTG. Crazy.

The misinformation continues and will continue because those spreading it know there's a steady supply of morons who will readily believe it.

Continuity also depends on the degree of plausibility.

You clearly underestimate the stupidity of MAGAts.

Everything is plausible to people who are totally out of the habit of considering claims critically, and instead are used to just going with the feeling. This is where accepting lies takes you.

If the weather was controllable, in this case hurricanes, Mar a Lardo would have been in the eye.

MTG is beyond insane, no wonder she likes DonOld, and he likes her, kindred spirits.

Dondilion 10-11-2024 07:59 PM

Wow! Now Fema will have to reply to the propaganda in some meaningful way.
Katrina was a factor against Bush.
The Dems are aware of this ; I have never seen the words "misinformation and disinformation" used so often. LOL.

You also have not seen so many lies before. I much prefer 'lies' to 'misinformation and disinformation,' the high class words dignify the crap.

NO, despite appearances she's not insane. She's shit kicking on purpose. As I said in another post she keeps saying bullshit like she does because the Republican base keeps accepting it.

Oerets 10-14-2024 06:33 AM

Spent last week in the Smokey Mountains on the Tennessee side of the park. Road closures, detours or very long delays to go to east to Asheville or south to Cherokee. So did not see any of the storm damage only trucks and crews heading south.

One sight that amazed me was the large number of "Trump Stores" around the area. There were sometimes two on opposite corners of an intersection. Forget how many times I noticed a pickup with a load of Trump signs on the road.

The cult runs deep down there.

Agreed, and she does this to rake in donations.

That's definitely worse than her being insane!

See Heather Cox Richardson latest column (Oct 13) for a detailed description of the psychology behind what MTG and Trump are doing. There is indeed method in the madness.
