And here's a GOP Congressman's take on it:

I've asked. Hell, I'd like the powers that be to just turn back on the smilies we lost after AK's last update.

donquixote99 05-09-2024 07:01 AM

It is fascinating that two 2024 presidential candidates are obviously mentally ill, and both have received massive financial support from the same billionaire.

Trump will be the next president because the democrats were too stupid in the recent years in order to find an appropriate presidency candidate.

A young (let's say below 60) wormless candidate who is able to pronounce words clearly. There are not only vowels, Joe, there are also consonants. "Honhonanh?" Yes, Sir. You got that right. Consonants.

A candidate who expresses not only democratic values, but also physical power.

Worm regards (grin),

Chris

So because Biden is not perfect, you would vote for Trump? No? But you think the majority of American voters are not as smart as you? That will turn out not to be the case. The MAGA trend is past its peak and headed down.

Pio1980 05-10-2024 06:32 PM

Not perfect compared to the Almighty, perfectly preferable to the alternative.
Maybe Newsome next time around.

If you change the first and eighth words to Biden and Republicans that makes a lot more sense considering the babbling idiot the GOP has hitched it's wagon to.

I never would vote for him, my friend.

Trump is a cancerous tumor on the anus of the United States. What I wanted to try to express is my frustration about the democrats to find a better, a younger candidate than Biden. What I also want to express is that I am sure that for several reasons, not only due to Biden's age, Trump will succeed again.

"The MAGA trend is past its peak and headed down." I wish this actually would be so. But I don't believe it. Unfortunaly you can't turn down my pessimism.

I remember thinking that in 2016.

RickeyM 05-13-2024 06:48 AM

Nah, in 2016 they were just getting started up. Aided by president (ugh) that kept on campaigning after the election.

It isn't time yet for another Democrat presidential candidate. In the face of Russian, er Republican opposition the party has to stand with President Biden. There'll be plenty of time for character assassination, muckraking and manure spreading on Joe's replacement later on. There's still lots of work to do.

HarmanKardon 05-16-2024 02:59 PM

Democracy is worldwide under serious pressure, getting more and more obsolescent. Russia, China, India, Brasilia and USA are trying successfully to eliminate this principle of freedom called democracy.

Okay then, let it be so. I have no children, nor grandchildren. I give a shit on what will happen in the forthcoming decades.

Aged 62 my time is running out and that's feeling pretty fine.

donquixote99 05-16-2024 08:00 PM

There's a tired old quote around that says something like 'evil triumphs when good people go cynical and don't oppose it.'

I am not cynic, I am realistic. I wish the whole situation would be more hopeful.

In the beginning of next August a little baby will arrive on this planet. It will be my great-nephew or my great-niece.

There is nothing more passionate in my heart than my yearning for a bright future of this new little creature.

If JFK Jr's excuse is brain worm for him in 2010, what's his excuse for the rubbish he currently spits out.

MAGA was weaker in 2020 compared to 2016, and it is now weaker than it was in 2020, his rallies are much lower attendance to the point that they were offering people money to attend leading up to one recent rally.
Still, sane Americans need to show up in mass numbers in November like their freedoms depend on it!

Defeating the Orange Menace in the next election will only be the beginning of it. Then we'll have to endure the now usual cries of "voter fraud" and "stolen election" and so-on from Convict tRump, his enablers and their media partners to be repeated by his cult.

On that brain worm thing. Once it's done it's damage I doubt you recover. Evidently it renders one unable to shut their yap as a result.

Agreed, it will be messy even if trump is beaten, but so much better over all and in the longer run.

Good point, and who knows if the restructuring of pathways (compensations) would be a good thing of not in such a case. Obviously not in the case of JFK Jr.

Oasis 07-05-2024 01:03 AM

Then again, JFK Jr was likely always nuts.

Asshat is not in charge...Syria is occupied territory. Asshat is a survivor.
He had better luck than Gaddafi.

Israel, USA and Turkey.

You're delusional, tovarich. To the extent that Syria is "occupied" (it's not), it's occupied by your boy, Vladimir Putin's murderous troops.

Nothing new there. Turkey has always had a hard-on for the Kurds, wherever they may reside.
