About the expected civil war.
A question about the civil war some are itching for. I'd like to know what or who are they going to go to war against? In going to war you've got to attack something so I really, for general interest, wonder what's in their crosshairs? In addition what's the actual goal? Should they and their forces "win" the conflict, what then?
Or is the whole idea simply to shoot at and shoot up something they have a grievance against? With the upcoming election and "you know who" claiming (again) if he doesn't win it will (again) be the result of fraud this question crosses my mind in it's early morning wonderings. |
Start to ask those who are wishing hoping for a civil war this, what makes them think they will be the winners or even make it to the end?
How ignorant of history, short sighted and selfish they seem to be. History is full of examples of those starting a revolution ending up dead! |

The civil war that is being talked about is cultural rather than ideological.
Anti education, anti climate change, pro gun, etc., and this war is being funded by the American Oligarchs with the understanding that their taxes will be held low. But in order to hold their taxes low, social welfare expenditures must be slashed, thus the assault on social welfare in every form including Medicaid, Social Security, programs to help children. As for limiting education for future generations, that is already in place. And of course, Jesus will save you, just don't ask how. |
The OP is asking for the radicalized right to make sense. It doesn't. But when the time comes, thr enemy will be anyone who tries to oppose them being in charge of everything.

Much like any who complain about how life treats them. Placing the blaming onto someone or something over taking the time to seek the truth. Much easier to blame then to admit your failings.
My wife left me .... she's a ...... Or maybe it was you! Got fired today..... they were giving my job to a....fill in the blank... Or maybe it was you! Self employed and payed minimally, into SS all those years. Living pay check to pay check robbing Peter to pay Paul..... Can't live on SS or afford insurance.... got to be those immigrants or someone else at fault.... Let's take over! |
And "I'm afraid we're going to need to kill them out," them being the fags in that quote, if you recall it. But while the them part is variable, the kill out part is constant.

It won't be a civil war in the normal sense of the term, just a fractioning of the social order to the point 'martial law' is declared.
The deciding factor will be 'who' gains control of the military forces involved. That person will be a temporary dictator. No civilian group will be involved in that. |
Of course the military is going to be tied up fighting a middle east war, and proxy wars all around the globe.
Probably comes down to the DHS; whoever controls the DHS will control the CONUS. They'll be abducting the young bucks to fight in the foreign wars. Maybe drop us old guys out of an airplane. |

I sure hope not. The last thing we need is for him to be made a martyr. I'll have to parachute in from above to shit on his statue.

You guys are probably right (again), but I have to think about these things.
I'm forcibly tossed out of an aircraft at altitude without a parachute. Below me is what appears to be an enemy radar installation on the shore of a deep body of water. Do I 'wing suit / flap my arms' toward the water, or do I do my duty, and try to put a dent in the hardened military looking thing ? I'm not going to lose any sleep over this, but I wish I was dreaming. |
Just saw the movie "Civil War" on the eve of the hush money trial and it doesn't take a great deal of suspension of disbelief to see how we get there from here.
Excellent film, by the way. Deep performances, great script, stunning cinematography and editing. Highly recommended. |
Movies about the first Civil War that I like; Cold Mountain and Ride With the Devil.
Ride With The Devil stars Jewel, the singer, in her first and only movie. Some of it was shot near where I live. It's actually pretty good, not as gripping as Cold Mountain. |
In 1856, when the first Civil War was ramping up in the USA, we attacked China at the same time. Believe it or not.

Quote of the day:
“Each side accuses the other of hating America,” he writes, “which is only another way of saying that both hate what the other means by America.” Stephen Marche, in his book "The Next Civil War." |

Marche, in his review of the new 'Civil War' movie, notes that he's gotten questions about whether a civil war now would 'clear the air.' Given that if it was like the last one, it would kill six or seven million people, he finds such naïveté 'shocking' and 'sickening.' He hopes the movie will provide a dose of realism to counter that sort of thinking.

It would among reasonable people. The cult however is not populated with reasonable people.

When now confronted with someone seemingly gleeful at the thought of one.
I will ask them point blank......what makes you think will live to the other side unscathed if at all? That gold, food and guns you have now will be prime for the taking by all no matter if MAGA or Lib... Once the war starts all bets are off..... |
Few people are Rambo. If several people want what you have, they will get it. The only shot at security in an anarchy situation is a group of people defending a perimeter. To have that you have to work and play well with others.
Anyway, anarchy wont last. An army will roll through. Best hope they are a decent army, not a nasty one, out for revenge.... |
