UFOs - Do you believe?
 

Other forums don't let you discuss stuff like this because it turns political eventually. But what do you guys think about UFOs? Are they extraterrestrial? Secret military air crafts? Any of you experience or seen anything that made you believe?

Doubt in all the vastness of space we are alone. Given the age of, time passed. The chances of a more advanced civilization to have happen are great.

Just who can say for sure they were not here first. Have been here the whole time we humans have inhabited our planet.

Hello Concept V and welcome. We never frown on discussion that gets political here. But some characteristics of 'belief' make UFO discussion unpopular with some people, so stuff like this gets it's own forum here. Is called "Conspiracy theory corner."

I don't discount the possibility of aliens visiting. But I am not fascinated by the idea and so don't get into speculating on sketchy data.

Are we able to move this thread to that section? Or how do I do that?

I agree with this. Stand outside at night when it's clear enough to see many stars it's not hard to imagine there's other life out there. Have we been visited? I think probably. I wonder about sightings that mention blinking colored lights on UFO craft. You'd think with the ability to do interstellar travel they'd think to turn off the running lights? If we have been visited and they won't let on, one look at the nightly news and you'd know...

For all we know, earth could just be the science experiment for some junior high school space alien.

Same answer as other unanswerable cosmic matters where belief or disbelief doesn't change the facts, insufficient data to makes definite determination at this time.

For some reason, the insertion of spiritual replacing cosmic came to mind when reading your post.

Emcorprated in "cosmic", I could have amended it to spiritual/cosmic matters, and have frequently used variations for questions dealing with "do you believe (insert unknowable/unprovable here)?" .

Well, the Martians already exist in our literature and cinema.

There are a lot of credible reports about UFOs and USOs by military personnel. It's got me wondering what it is.

UFO's, of course there are. They're un-identified. As far as some of them being extraterrestrial in origin, probably.

So why was the cell phone video footage blacked out so we couldn't see the backyard? Not to mention they confiscated all cell phones and Ring cameras in the area. This just doesn't make sense to me.
