Dominion Takes The Money, Smartmatic Wants More
Good. These assholes at Fox News deserve all the shit coming their way and more.
I can't wait to see what Smartmatic does to this nest of cretins. $2.7 billion on top of 787.5 million ought to put a crimp in their business. "Fox News’s legal troubles related to the 2020 presidential election are far from over, despite its massive settlement with Dominion Voting Systems announced Tuesday afternoon. The media company also faces a $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit filed by another voting technology company, Smartmatic, that alleges Fox broadcast lies that “decimated” its business." WP https://www.washingtonpost.com/media...ation-lawsuit/ |
Will Faux finally get the message and fire all their lying fascists? No, they’d all just move over to one of the other Reich-wing propaganda networks.
|
Sorely disappointed. Dominion had FAUX dead to rights. Before the week is out the Reich-wing eco system will be saying Dominion settled because they knew they had no case. FAUX news* on their part will say as little as possible or nothing at all about the incidents leading to the settlement that would help Smartmatic in their case.
In the meantime FAUX news* will continue to be the Reich-wing's primary propaganda outlet. They got caught pushing tRump's big lie about the election but every other lie they're pushing will continue unabated. |
Our local Sinclair owned ABC bullshit anus did a special on "Biden family crime investigations" in a must-run local news segment, not a peep on the Fox/Dominion settlement.
|
I'm disappointed too. I wanted Dominion to drag Fox through the whole court experience. I wanted to see Tucker and Hannity sweat on the witness stand. I wanted it all!
|
Unless FOX was shut down by the lawsuit. Their Zombie followers would never be effected by the revelations and admissions from any trial.
Dominion loss money getting the piss poor admission from FOX. We know that FOX would of paid more for not having to even say what they did say. I wish Dominion had gotten a better admission of guilt! |
Dominion made it all about the money when it should have been about a lot more. Now let's see what Smartmatic does.
|
All these big money hits are contributing to the devaluation of the US dollar as an international currency.
It's in a serious decline. And it doesn't fix anything, else, either. (IMHO) Other than making a few select people temporarily wealthy. |

Tucker is the only Fox presenter who said publicly and privately that the charge against Dominion was bullshit.
He told Sydney Powell openly that he would not give her time on his platform unless she could provide evidence. This caused some problem for Tucker with the Fox audience. However there is always an effort from the non Fox MSM to project Tucker. |

Don't blame Dominion for the shortcomings of the US legal system (don't call it a justice system, any justice doled out is completely incidental}.
Dominion knew what would happen when it went to trial and they won. It would be appealed for years, and even though it would have held up to appeal, the word goes out to the world right now that FOX committed defamation, even though the terms of the settlement were that they didn't have to admit it. Always the terms of such settlements. But everybody knows that FOX wouldn't have settled if they could have won. And Dominion still has other suites going. From the NY Times... Quote:

Great. The money Fox has to pay is tax deductible. That means it's tax deductable if they pay Smartmatic.
https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/f...120054140.html That's from the AP, not Yahoo. Originally, only corporations could be taxed. It became the individual worker, also, in 1914. Now corporations don't pay any taxes, just lawyers. |
July 12 (Reuters) - Steve Bannon and Michael Flynn, two allies of former U.S. President Donald Trump, must answer questions under oath in voting technology company Smartmatic's defamation lawsuit against right-wing media outlet Newsmax, court records showed on Wednesday.
Florida-based Smartmatic served subpoenas on Bannon, who served as a White House strategist under Trump, and Flynn, who briefly served as national security adviser, on Wednesday, according to documents filed in Delaware state court. https://www.reuters.com/legal/steve-...se-2023-07-12/ |

"...a reckless President Trump." But at the same time, we all know that if the choice is between Donald Trump and any nominee from the Democrats...that D. will vote for Donald Trump. Will he deny it? Who gives a shit? The guy has no integrity, his inside and his outside don't match up. He will say he does one thing, or he thinks something, and then it's...Trump was the best thing since sliced bread. He makes Mikey whell seem like a breath of fresh air. |

....and this one is looking to go to trial, I hope.
NY Appeals Court Rejects Fox Bid to Dismiss $2.7 Billion Smartmatic Defamation Lawsuit A New York state appeals court rejected Fox's bid to dismiss a $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit by voting machine company Smartmatic over statements made on air after the 2020 U.S. presidential election, Reuters reported on Thursday. The decision was issued by a five-judge panel of the Appellate Division in Manhattan. Fox Corporation and Fox News Network were both named in the 2021 lawsuit, as were on-air personalities Lou Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo, Jeanine Pirro, frequent Fox commentator Rudy Giuliani and attorney Sidney Powell, who was indicted along with Donald Trump in the Georgia election fraud case. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/othe...6af8cd63&ei=53 I can already hear the little piggies a'squealing. Good. |
From the MSN article "...Smartmatic's damages claims are implausible, disconnected from reality, and on their face intended to chill First Amendment freedoms."
Boy, that's rich... I would say Fox news reporting is equally implausable and disconnected from reality, if not more so. |
Is it too late to join the lawsuit? I've been harmed by Fox too .....
