This is a serious problem and exposes the left's MO

Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh is forced to escape D.C. steakhouse with his security detail after pro-abortion protesters 'harassed' him during dinner and told the manager to throw him out

This sort of thing will not continue. Eventually a carrying conservative is going to get involved.

finnbow 07-08-2022 10:41 AM

As an originalist, Kavanaugh himself wouldn't find a prescribed constitutional right not to be harassed during dinner. The biggest travesty of this episode is that Kavanaugh shouldn't be on the SCOTUS at all. The seat he is in should be Merrick Garland's, effectively blocked by McConnell employing a practice that he later eschewed with Amy Coney Barrett.

It's interesting that you find the harassment bad, but seem to support a "carrying conservative" gunning down the harasser.

Where did I say I support it? I said it was a risk. I do not support it. My point was that risk brings possible consequences. That's why I carry in my car when driving through "iffy" neighborhoods. Some people are set off pretty easily.

Yeah, yeah, and Gore should have won in 2000. And Trump should have won in 2020. We live in interesting times.;)

So, the doughy Scrotus of BEER! picked up and ran out the back door because there were unhappy citizens exercising their First Amendment rights? Awwwww...poor baby.

Lovely how this poster thinks a 2nd Amendment solution would be appropriate.

It is never good to harass judges. It is the initial sign of a fail state.

Regardless of his title, Kavanaugh was never qualified to be a judge, he is a political operative. Besides we are already living in a failed state. The second impeachment proved it when an insurrection by the POTUS went unpunished. Now we have the J6 committee going to extreme efforts to prove the obvious.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) also responded to the incident saying, "[p]olitical protest is ok when it involves storming government buildings and beating the hell out of police."
Surprised he left out killing the police part.

Here's an excellent response to conservatives' faux outrage about Kavanaugh's dining experience.

Yet another Insane thread projecting faux outrage comes to an end after this response from Secy. Pete Buttigieg. ;)
I was also quite impressed by how Secy. Buttigieg did not permit the Fox guy to cut him off.

No. I'm not saying using a gun would be appropriate. What I'm saying is that when a mob verbally and threateningly confronts someone, they need to consider that the "someone" may be armed, and just may pull a Rittenhouse or Zimmerman on them. I'm saying if there is not law enforcement, things could ramp up. And it could be knives, or rocks, or Molotov cocktails. My point is that things never stay the same. They always progress - or regress.

That is exactly it. And then we have these nincompoops actually cheering them on. Perhaps we need a "Jan 6th" committee against some of them:

Most important video of 2020

The above video clarifies why I always find it comical when leftists accuse the right of being violent, or "fascist". It is both projection and gaslighting.

I was not really a fan of Kavanaugh being judge. However, the hearings were such an insulting witch hunt that I found myself torn. And when the Blasey Ford nonsense kicked in, I was no longer "torn". It became, IMO, imperative that he be sworn in. Not because he was or wasn't qualified, but because of the over the top lunacy being employed - AT OUR HIGHEST LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT - to try to keep him out. It was as if they thought they could still Bork a nominee.

It was critical that those tactics lose, which they did. Comically, I still come across leftists that believe Kavanaugh ran a sex ring in college.:D

Softball interview that ignored key points. I wonder how a Tucker Carlson interview with him would have gone. ;)

A Tucker Carlson interview? And you claim not to be Insane? More like brain dead living in Central Kentucky watching grass grow.

Well, opinions vary. Thanks so much for sharing yours*.
