Voted "NO!" on this BS the day the ballots arrived. Dems need to change this to make it MUCH harder to pull these stunts, which cost us $millions.

He shot himself in the foot by keeping Democrats off the "who instead" ballot. Dems would I think be more likely to vote if they had someone to vote for, even if they intend to vote No one the recall.

But looks like he will probably limp to victory anyway.

In a decent country that isn't half full of assholes, we wouldn't be feeling a need for an alternative Democrat. Anybody who isn't a Republican ought to be plenty good enough. Anybody who isn't Republican is good enough.

The election, however, is being held in the country that actually exists. I would apply the word need here in a pragmatic, tactical sense. Ideologically you are quite correct.

An aside here. When I type messages on my phone, they often show up in rather small type when they post, at least for me. Do others see them that way, in small type?

IMO that would have been a bad decision.

Voting for a replacement candidate is only relevant when a majority of voters have voted YES to replace Newsom.

Just looked at my ballot and there are several Democrats on it. Weird.

I'm speaking purely from a get-out-the-vote perspective. I feel not having any alternative choice will sour some Democrats who would have voted no on the primary question.

OK, Newsom's effort was not perfectly successful. That's for the good I'd say.

Sent out my ballot by return mail the day after I received it. I don't think these idiots stand a chance, and certainly not with Larry Elder. :rolleyes:
