Small oopsie, the 200+ bills are in the various state legislatures, not in Congress. The Dems need to end the fillibuster and pass HR1, in the Senate, to quash these state-level voter supression efforts.

I don't understand what the Congressional democrats are afraid of unless they're Democrats in a red state or red US House district who have managed to win a seat, and fear losing their cushy job over their support of HR1 or killing the filibuster. But there are some Democrats in secure seats who apparently feel that passage of HR1 would make the divide worse. I don't see how this divide could be any worse than it was during the Obama presidency or the last ridiculous four years.
