Trump says he wants to use 'sheriffs' as poll watchers on Election Day
More voter suppression Donny-Boy?
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/202...n-day-n1237621 Because the regular poll watchers just don't have the right effect, right? |

I checked Ohio law. A policeman is allowed into the polls, otherwise its voters, staff, and pre-registered watchers and witnesses only. Watchers may not be armed, and may not be in uniform. ICE, Federal Marshall's, etc don't seem to make the cut. Other states may vary. |
I'll have to discuss it with my better half as we're both over sixty but I'd like to sign up as a poll worker on election day. It's potentially risky in the age of Covid. I seriously doubt The Shitstain will try any suppression tactics here. Even so I'd still like to help out and contribute to things going well.

Wonder what the reaction would be if Biden stated he may not accept anything other then a win in November?

These provisions of Federal Law prohibit troops and armed persons at polling places, and prohibit civil authorities, federal, state, or local, from interfering with elections.

Right, but other people care when he does it. Helps to build effective resistance.

In 1981 a ‘task force’ intimidated voters at the polls. Will Republicans revert to their old tactics?

Hate to even be thinking it is possible in the country I knew four year ago. The consideration is at all a fleeting thought, one of what to do the day after the election is stolen away. This time it is being done in the full light of day for all to see clearly. With the thinking they will be able to bully their way to the presidency.
