Joe Biden For President

He is a good man with our best interests at heart. I think he will do a great job as POTUS. He will be able to call on his good friend, former president Obama, at any time of day or night. I hope he will be able to bring the center and the left wings of the Democratic Party together and rebuild our neglected infrastructure. He may even be able to bring the few remaining rational Republicans on board.

signed a former Yippie and now center left Democratic party member.

Oerets 06-02-2020 08:18 PM

I like Joe B and also believe he will be a good POTUS if given a chance at it. Unless he has the house and senate I foresee deadlock.
Joe's big test is right now with the unrest. He needs to be up front on the issues. Lead the news not reactive. Then his pick for VP has to be a great one.

Is this some sort of joke? They guy's not all there and falling fast. The ONLY reason for voting for him is that he is not trump, if you really, REALLY hate trump. He makes McCain and Dole look like rocket scientists. Seriously. Have you ever watched him speak. Have you looked at his record. The guy was an empty suit even when he had his full mental capacity.

But those were the salad days.

The joke will be on you and your fellow Trumpkin idiots in Nov.

The decent people of this country are sick and tired of Donny and his hateful, repugnant followers.

Oerets 06-03-2020 09:03 AM

It should be apparent these protest have more then one issue getting out the people.

Wait till November to see the people turning out.

Trump will fight the outcome in court.
Tooth and nail.
This may well be just the beginning of the unrest.

Well, I do agree with the premise. If Biden were to actually win in November, the joke would be on all Americans.

The protests are, IMO, because of the Lockdown. Floyd was just the excuse. I predicted this in March, assuming the lockdown wen't past April. It did. And here we are. Democrat cities are burning.

My friend from high school works in elderly care and specializes in dementia cases. We talk about Biden quite a bit. He's getting worse by the week, which is common at the stage he's at. He will be a different man by November. His handlers are not fools. They are quite aware of that and trying to plan accordingly.

My friend is really nice too. :)

What's his take on the "very stable genius"?

I was no fan before he became president. I was actually temp banned twice for slamming him. Once during the primaries and once during the general. When he won I told my wife, "well, the good news is that Hillary lost. The bad news is that Trump won."

But then he started doing stuff. I became such a fan that as time has passed he's become, IMO, the best and most effective president in my 66 years. I'll be voting FOR him in 2020. The only other time I voted for, rather than against a candidate was 1980.

Oh, and as with all politicians, I ignore what he says. Talk is cheap. Action is what I focus on. I very much love what he actually does. And it is not lost on me that when some low level federal judge tries to stop his action, upper courts or the SCOTUS usually end up spanking the partisan nincompoop that tried to stop him.

Kinda like what is happening with Judge Sullivan right now.;)

For me, the only polls that matter are in the weeks before the election. They can be verified - by the election results.

bobabode 06-03-2020 01:34 PM

Of course you do. ;)

The very first thing was really symbolic: Other presidents said they would do it, were looking into it, etc., but never did it. He did it without fanfare and like a boss. He moved the Embassy to Jerusalem.

I was a one issue voter in 2016. I simply wanted the (IMO) unconstitutional obamacare mandate eliminated. Trump got it done. I wanted to get out of all those little wars in Asia and the Mideast. I like what he's done there. Shrinking government, reducing the EPA's power, preventing Global Warming nonsense from becoming the law of the land, and other such stuff are another example.

I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that I "feel" we have the first "get america back to the constitution of 50 countries under the umbrella of a very limited federation" president in my lifetime. I like the personal freedom it brings. That is supposed to be what makes america great.

This is why polls crack me up.

I remember in 2016 that all the polls had Hillary ahead of Trump even on election day - except one. I'd been watching that one for the last few weeks before the election (the only time I actually watch polls) to see which ones would be most accurate. It's no surprise that they all "tighten up" towards election day, as if a bunch of voters change their mind in the last days. :D

Anyway, this one poll was decreasing Hillary's lead every day until, the day before the election, showed Trump ahead. But then a crazy thing happened. An hour later it showed Hillary ahead, barely. They had actuallly changed their poll results for that day. If only they hadn't, they would have been the one that got it right. ;)

bobabode 06-10-2020 12:57 PM

Yawn, I'm sure there's a point in there somewhere, Biff. Try harder.

"President Trump’s incendiary responses to racial injustice protests and the coronavirus pandemic have left him politically isolated and profoundly weakened less than five months from the election, raising alarms among many Republicans about the party’s prospects in November.

A raft of fresh polling nationally and in battleground states shows Trump losing ground to presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden, a precipitous slide that has triggered deep distress within the GOP about the incumbent’s judgment and instincts, as well as fears that voters could sweep the party out of power completely on Election Day.

Trump’s ability to shape cultural flash points also appears to have ebbed, as some Republican leaders and legions of large corporations are openly supporting the Black Lives Matter movement, despite risking retaliation from the White House." WP

continued - https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...940_story.html

Looks like the angry orange boil on the GOPs hindquarters is freaking out the beancounters at the RNC.

They should be worried. Remember Pete Wilson and what he did for the GOP in California?

You gain nothing and you raise the ire of not just the president but people who support him.”

Their acrid flopsweat is all they have left. I find it amusing that the more radical conservatives have pulled up stakes and skedaddled to the deepest of the moocher redstates.

I was expecting that, this is why his running mate will be critical in many respects, including responsible succession if he becomes incapacitated.
That's what killed McCain's chances.

Yep. First time in our country's history where it's not even hidden that the candidate is a placeholder for the VP. A Back door entry of a presidential candidate, if you will.

How low can you go?

Nobody I knew voted for Trump so that Pence would be president. Maybe a few uniparty members felt that way.

I dont care for Pence, would have been fine with Kasich, but if anything happened to remove Trump, I think Pence could win a reelection for the 'Pubs against Biden with independents and undecided, depending.

Seriously? You think any part o that ticket was serious about winning?

FWIW, I've actually discussed that election with her personally. A 40 minute conversation. McCain had no intention of winning that election. That's why he picked her.

Then again, maybe this is just all show for Biden too.
