See What I Mean About Teabaggers?

This is a Republican Candidate for the US Congress from California. Apparently, He thinks a no-limit hunting season on liberals is just the ticket.

Actually, at least in California, it's strictly "catch & release".

Unless one of them get's you to marry them.

I couldn't help notice the dude's name, Goehring. It seems his granddad, Hermann, has had a bit too much influence on his progeny.

I noticed the name too and thought it was a delicious irony. Is this guy actually Hermann's grandson???

I made that part up. However, it certainly seems possible. They seem to share the same politics.

What an asshole. The next few years are going to even more interesting, gentlemen.

Yep. The way it's going, Hermann Goehring's grandson could actually run on his granddaddy's platform and get elected in certain areas of the country.:(

merrylander 05-12-2010 01:26 PM

Given the intellect of the average voter it would not surprise me in the least

noonereal 05-12-2010 01:57 PM

Granddad was pretty accomplished at thinning the heard.

"Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship. ...voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country." -- Hermann Goering

Good thing we're smarter than that now, eh John. We would never let our leaders divide us by questioning our patriotism.

Damn, John. I was just being snarky with my Goering reference and you flesh out the whole argument with one quote.

After all the Barack Hussein Obama silliness, that nimrod in CA deserves a few gratuitous pokes with some Hermann Goering references.

merrylander 05-13-2010 07:44 AM

We now have another Dr. Paul in the political spectrum, oh joy, oh rapture.

Do I detect a certain reluctance to commit to our cause, comrade?

Perhaps I shall be forced to report you to the local militia... :D
