Anyone Remember Boblo?
If you grew up in or around Detroit, you probably had fond memories of Boblo Island, and a ride on the Boblo Boats to get there. Here's a collage of pics that capture some of the history of the Island and the Columbia and Ste Claire Boblo boats that got you there.
https://www.detroitnews.com/picture-...-now/29995589/ Hopefully someday the boats will be restored to their former glory. |
The boats will return to their former glory when Trump makes us great again.

You reap what you sow, especially here where the memories are long and words are razor sharp. Suffer whell or write a book called 'What Happened' :D.

https://detroithistorical.org/learn/...m-neighborhood Lafayette Park is still there, and that area is experiencing a bit of a revival. Its home to a number of Mexican owned businesses and restaurants. Some awesome places to go eat and hang out. |

Awwwww. Poor Whellie! He can dish it out, but can’t take it. Just like his thin-skinned orange master.

In your own mind, you are pure as driven snow, and deserve nothing but our admiration and friendship, eh whell?

Reminds me of when my father took my mom and me to both Pelee Island and Put-In-Bay
when I was a kid. I think you could even bring a car onto the ferries to one of the islands. I can barely remember Pelee Island but I do remember the boat ride across Lake Erie was really cold that Saturday. |
