Rajoo 03-15-2017 10:10 PM

I recently returned from India where I purchased inhalation powder Seroflo (comes in a capsule) for under $4 for a 30 capsule package. The very same brand (which is approved by our FDA since 1985) is sold in Canada for $30 a package.

The brand name version of this is drug is Advair which costs close to $400.

So even approved generic prices are artificially inflated in the US.

That's because the medical profession in america is all about taking advantage of sick people, not healing.

Our capitalist healthcare system is noting but predatory and becasue we're americans we approve of it because we're all about fucking each other over in this country.

Four dollars is easy for you but maybe not your average Indian.
Same thing in the Philippines but I will keep our system with its flaws than have
pharmacies selling antibiotics and other medicines without prescriptions because people can't afford to see a doctor and hence chronically self-medicate themselves.
Is generic Seroflo sold in the USA?

When I was in PI I bought some Naproxen 550mg dirt cheap but I know how to use it.

You are going to hear screams from Big PhARMA when it dawns on them they will lose their research arm if his budget is adopted. NIH and the Universities are the only reason all the foreign drug companies have offices here. All of their profits (after paying obscene management salaries) go to advertising, not research, other than some new ED pill. Which health insurance covers but not birth control - go figure. Guess the men will always look after themselves but to hell with the women.

For a while they can tweak the formulation, call it a new drug, get another 17 years of guaranteed price gouging. The cycle repeats.

I realize the need to have a sense of humor about things, but the fact that this guy is really the President takes a lot of the fun out of it.

Detachment is important, although there's more than a bit a schadenfreude involved too. The bemusement derives from his being President and the amusement comes from the resultant head spinning.

Sanders is the mid-wife for the American Health Care Act aka as RyanTRumpcare, Ryancare, and/or Chumpcare.

Way to go Bernie. Thanks for making single payer a real possibility for unicorns.

Can you perhaps shed some light on this, or are you are still smarting over Bernie making Hillary look bad.
