BOO HOO Poor Little Democrats Having a Tantrum

Think there are 40 or more boycotting the inauguration now. How cool. Not only have they not figured out that they lost, but they can probably insure that they stay a regional party for the next few decades. Act like spoiled little brats, which is their base I suppose.

donquixote99 01-17-2017 03:57 PM

Grow up.

Oh, quit yer bitchin' and moaning, Snowflake. Maybe it's that pissy odor wafting from the Trump camp that's keeping them away? ;)

You just can't imagine the joy I am getting out of this.:D

finnbow 01-17-2017 04:04 PM

I don't care if they go or not. I live outside of DC and wouldn't be caught dead down there on inauguration day, no matter who was being inaugurated. I skipped town for Obama's two inaugurations and will hunker down out here in the woods until its all over. Probably won't watch it on TV either. I'd probably get sick to my stomach.;)

ZeroJunk 01-17-2017 04:09 PM

I have never watched one in my life. I did watch JFK's funeral which was beyond sad. Otherwise I have never watched any of it.

Dondilion 01-17-2017 04:52 PM

Up to now the Dems do know what hit them. They are angry, confused and bewildered by this twittering gadfly.

1. I actually can.
2. I do not begrudge you.

But when Trump screws up post oath? I expect you to man up and take your beating.

Oerets 01-17-2017 06:18 PM

Maybe the ones who have chosen to make this statement on the 20th. Feel it is their right as citizens to excise Free Speech in this way. While they still have the ability!

No. You don't know the corruption you've embraced.

He certainly has plenty of room to screw it up.

But, a lot of the vote was against the status quo.

And, the Democrat boycott is playing right in to it.

Nice tone for an OP.

The Gadfly Favorable 40 Unfavorable 52

Angry yes, confused no, bewildered never.
Why wouldn't anyone be angry when an election system installs a con artist as president with only 40% favorable ratings before he has even assumed office, besides losing the popular vote?

Hah!

He is a bit of a strutting bantam rooster, isn't he?

Rajoo 01-17-2017 09:53 PM

How about this, a lawsuit just before he is sworn in? :)

Former ‘Apprentice’ Contestant Files Defamation Suit Against Trump
Quote:

When Ms. Zervos made her claim in October, saying that Mr. Trump had kissed and groped her without her consent during encounters at his office in New York and at a hotel in Los Angeles, Mr. Trump said he never met her “at a hotel or greeted her inappropriately,” and accused Ms. Zervos and other women of lying, according to the lawsuit, which was filed in New York State Supreme Court.
Too late to buy her off and thus a public indirect admission of guilt. Woo-Hoo. :D
Trump now has to coerce a judge to throw the lawsuit out.

Our worst disaster comes to an end on Friday, and we survived it. Fortunately.

Now that is pure fantasy. Disagree with his policies and priorities all you like, but the economy is in much better shape than when Obama took office, we have far fewer troops engaged in foreign conflicts, and we avoided default on the government's obligations, despite the tea party's most strident efforts. He took conservative measures - such as the barest revision of the Bush tax cuts when he could have let them expire completely, a compromise that disappointed many on the left; but as a result of the deal struck, we did not sink into another recession. I don't see how you can call those results "our worst disaster" with a straight face. You must be kidding, because I have not perceived you as an idiot - but you might be trying to prove me wrong.

donquixote99 01-18-2017 06:14 PM

Facts don't have a chance vs. attitude.

Doubled the national debt, added 13,000,000 to disability and other government handouts , lowest job participation in 50 years, lowest percentage home ownership in 50 years, even life expectancy went down.

Yeah, he was a real peach

Ah, "facts." But you "knew" before you looked up some facts, if that is what they are. They are picked to suit, or made-up (by your sources) to suit.

Logic is helpful too. What you have here is, at face value, correlation being used to imply causation. How might Obama have caused all this? Especially the life-expectancy one. You're saying he made people die?

1) National debt? Do you think two wars on the nation's MasterCard and a slew of misguided tax breaks had anything to do with that?

2&3) The Baby Boomers got old, no surprise there.

4)Uh, did you miss the overheated real estate market during the Shrub's tenure as POTUS? I sure didn't, I was laughing and scoffing at the bubble in '05 but what do I know, I'm just an old nailpounder. (rolls eyes)

5) Life expectancy? Beats me. Maybe some gun nuts were chewing on the barrel of their pea shooters when the banks repo'd their pick up trucks?

Funny how on one hand these guys say that Obama was an utterly feckless and weak president then they ascribe almost superhuman powers to him. I swear, the cognitive dissonance must be deafening.

Actually another disaster possibly begins.

Final Bush approval rating 21%.
Final Obama approval rating 61%.
Incoming President elect Trump 40%.

Yes, we are all fortunate, Trump could be an improvement over Bush thanks to Putin.

So Bush tax breaks with borrowed money should have won him plaudits, not only free but OPM.

I agree and am grateful they have that right, but it is childish of them to do so - as representatives of the government they should put attendance to respect the peaceful transfer of power ahead of their disagreement. Being on hand for the inauguration salutes the process, not the President.

We all have rights to do a lot of things we do not because common sense and decorum would render them selfish, petty, and to no good end.

I am not a bit sure that any good end will be served by offering the new POTUS the 'legitimacy' of the respect you counsel.

President Obama, real class to the end, models the decorum you value so highly here. Michelle, however, was not putting up any fronts....

I love the look on her face. If it was any different I would be concerned.

I wish I had me one of them made in Viet Nam red Trump caps.....

If they believe for good reason he is not legitimate, they can gather the evidence and move forward. If there is none, I would expect them to get to work doing what we pay them for.

Birthers against Obama.
"The Russians are Coming" against Trump.

It's embarrassing. We are giving Italian politics a run for their money.

I'm afraid the evidence you request may or may not ever surface. It's Trump's Justice Dept, etc, now.

We agree about the embarrassing part, but there's a lot of things I'd put higher on the embarrassing list than 'lack of support for inauguration ceremony.'
