Trump f#^ked with wrong guy.

Trump finally went one too far and messed with the wrong guy.

John Lewis is more than talk.

One side-effect of Rep. John Lewis's heated and very public spat with President-elect Donald Trump: ballooning interest in books written by the civil rights icon.

The Georgia Democrat's “Walking with the Wind: A Memoir of the Movement” was sold out on Amazon and was the site's No. 2 bestseller. Used copies of the hardcover edition were going for nearly $100.

Claiming the top spot on the list was another book by Lewis: “March,” a graphic-novel trilogy about the civil rights movement. The third installment won the National Book Award last year.

Amazon listed both books as “temporarily out of stock” on Sunday. Sales for both had ballooned more than 100,000 percent, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Never heard of John Lewis before which is a big mistake. Thanks Mr. Trump.

Rep. John Lewis is a national treasure.
Peeotus Asterisk is a national laughingstock.

The big shadow of Trump will make a lot of light visible. This is a comforting thought. I know that there is still a good America and I love it.

I would appear Trump is good for the economy. ;)

Lewis fucked with the wrong guy.

He was the one who attacked Trump.

Trump just hit him back.

I guess Lewis thinks the fact that he got beat up by some crackers 50 years ago that that gives him a license to trash anyone without fear of reprisal.

Well Fuck Him.

Quote:

This past weekend Representative John Lewis decided to attack and called the Trump presidency “illegitimate.”

He cited his belief that the Russians were responsible for the election results. In response, the president-elect responded to Lewis that his district was a mess and that Lewis needed to do his job. Then, 31 Democrat politicians told Lewis they would join his boycott of the Trump inauguration. This was then reported as being the result of Trump’s “attack” of John Lewis.

To better understand the extent of lousy we are witnessing here it is necessary to go back to the primary election of 2016 and follow it up to this latest display of hypocrisy.
continue

Trump could have bitten his tongue and not take the bait, plus his use of "talk, talk, talk" was essentially against reality...facing down them crackers, especially fifty years ago, took much, much more than talk.

Those were real crackers.

I agree, but that was 50 years ago.

How long is he going to get by resting on his laurels?

50 years?

Even Don Schula only got to live on that 1972 season for 20 years.

Don Schula won a football game, not exactly comparable with Lewis' accomplishments.

The 1972 Dolphins are the only National Football League team to win the Super Bowl with a perfect season. The undefeated campaign was led by coach Don Shula and notable players Bob Griese, Earl Morrall, and Larry Csonka. The 1972 Dolphins went 14–0 in the regular season and won all three post-season games, including Super Bowl VII against the Washington Redskins, to finish 17–0

Nothing.

The real point here is that Lewis was way out of line calling a democratically elected President illegitimate. I'll bet he was one of those that was screaming his tits off when Trump suggested he might not accept the results of the election. And now, he won't accept the results because he is butthurt about the way it turned out. What a fucking asshole hypocrite he is. And trying to use something he did 50 years ago as some kind of deflector shield is bullshit.

So, it's OK when Trump screams about nonexistent voter fraud (and rails against Obama's legitimacy for years), but it is out of line to be concerned about Russia helping Trump out? I guess you needed some twisted values to back your mega-hypocrite of a Trumpenfuhrer.

bobabode 01-20-2017 02:06 PM

I thought Nixon's and Reagan's followers were sore winners but this latest crew takes the cake.

Poor dears, the next four years are going to be rough for them.

And you know..... The people who voted for him belong to the demographic that will be hurt the most with the policies and changes Trump has promised. I can't believe they can't understand that.

Voter fraud is non existent.

The same goes for Russian hacking.

Everybody who has studied the issue agrees with you on the former, nobody who has studied the issue agrees with you on the latter.

I know that's what you are hoping and praying for.

It will be interesting to watch you try to spin your way out of it when that doesn't happen.

Meanwhile, Trump's IT crew immediately changed the White House website. One of their first actions was deleting the White House's page on Civil Rights. Ever classy.

I hear he's going to sign an executive order bringing back slavery next Monday.

He doesn't need slavery. He has plenty of unprincipled sycophants already.

Hey look! Finn's spreading fake news again. Nothing new about that.

But, as a public service, here's where the content that Finn stated was "deleted" can be found:

https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov...s/civil-rights

whell 01-20-2017 03:30 PM

Oh, and here's the story behind it. In short, the previous content of WhiteHouse.gov was transferred to ObamaWhiteHouse.gov on Inauguration Day, while President Trump's team is in the process of repopulating WhiteHouse.gov with content specific to his administration.

Are you dimwitted or disingenuous? You linked to the archived Obama White House webpage that indeed has a Civil Rights page. However, just as I said, the real, active White House website doesn't.

He's busy, however, selling you a mythical vision of America that never was. But first, he needs to end the "carnage."

That's right, you freak show. If I can link to it, and navigate to it, then it wasn't "deleted" as you stated, now was it? It was moved, as was indicated in the other post that I linked to that explains exactly what was moved and why (which you apparently couldn't or didn't want to read).

Sheesh!
