I have not seen SNL and don't know much about Baldwin other than he has brothers who are actors so I can't really comment. But..... Doesn't SNL do this sort of comedy to all presidents?

Pretty much, yes, from what I've heard, and with one notable exception, most have played along, being "good sports".

SNL is what made Sarah Palin famous, or did Sarah make Amy Poehler famous? :)

I thought it was Palin's witless conservatism that made her famous, and sunk McCain's Presidential bid.
That provided fodder for Tina Fey 's sendup.

I haven't really watched it since the first crew left but enough seeps out into the culture to be aware of the major skits and players.

The Trump skits are the only current content of which I am aware. I only get ABC and PBS here, the rest are spotty or nonexistent, except a multichannel evangelical propaganda station.

I thought Darrell Hammond was much better as Trump then Alec Baldwin.

I don't like Baldwin at all.

He's an ass.

He did make an excellent Jim Webb though.

Probably because Jim Webb is also an ass and all Baldwin had to do was be himself.
