1st Dem Causality Of 2016 Election?

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/house-de...hip-elections/

House Democrats on Tuesday delayed their leadership elections that were slated for Thursday as lawmakers grapple with their election losses and as speculation grows about a bid to challenge their long-time leader Nancy Pelosi.

The long knives are out for ol' Nancy, apparently.

bobabode 11-15-2016 12:29 PM

Your concern is touching.

Rajoo 11-15-2016 01:12 PM

As much as I don't like it, Pelosi will remain long after she has worn out her influence and authority.

finnbow 11-15-2016 01:14 PM

Causality???

Let him bask in his unwarranted schadenfreude. Wait until the Dem's replace her with Keith Ellison and watch the wingnuts lose their shit.

Actually, Ellison is running for the DNC and Pelosi wants to retain House Minority Leader.

Maybe. Some think Schumer should take a back seat too.

Check this out:

Call me crazy, but I don’t think Wall Street’s favorite senator, Chuck Schumer, and San Francisco Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi are the ideal people to address the economic anxiety of middle- and working-class Americans and credibly call for reform. I don’t say this to disrespect either one of them, both of whom are dedicated public servants and legislative tacticians. The problem is that they can no longer serve simply as legislative tacticians; without the presidency, they will now be the face and primary messengers of the party. Can anyone argue with a straight face that these two coastal elites and longtime denizens of insider Washington are the right look for a revitalized Democratic Party?

The "right look"? Hmmm......

I don't like either of them, but then again, I'm not a Democrat (nor a Republican). The Democratic bench is pretty feckin' weak though.

My bad. I misheard/misremembered the announcement.

There will be plenty of casualties.

We Berniecrats have put Sarah Palin crosshairs on every fucking super delegate that voted for Hillary Clinton and every Democrat that endorsed her over Bernie for the nomination. We will let the ones that supported Bernie, and then pivoted to Hillary after the convention slide. But we will be watching them.

When any of these fuckers run for office they will not get a dime in campaign money, nor we will support them in any other way. And in all elections, we will vote for their opponent, and that includes general elections against Republicans. Our goal is to end the political careers of these motherfuckers.

How original, a tea party on the left. Wait, didn't you vote for Stein?

One does learn from other peoples successes. Whether you agree with their ideology, the movement was extremely successful

CarlV 11-15-2016 05:09 PM

Moot point if you consider that just like the POTUS, congress needs term limits.

Carl

It won't work Raj. It would be as successful as herding feral cats.

As if things have worked out so far. ;)

It's already turned into a clusterfuck nightmare, not that didn't describe the campaign.

"Priebus, according to sources, is also skittish on the possibility of former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski replacing him at the RNC, worried that he may undo a lot of the work from the past six years."

Corey 'the thug' Lewandowski as RNC chairman? Wow.

This is going to be an epic sh!tshow. Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch.

Yes, I did.

But I think I might start telling people that I voted for Trump so I can be on the winning side. :D

More like depressing how he played on our darker instincts to "win". So, now it's showtime and time to figure out how this POTUS thing works.

As if the Trump's another Hitler cry wasn't.

donquixote99 11-16-2016 09:35 AM

Just wait. You'll see.

Pio1980 11-16-2016 09:41 AM

The difference between AH and DT are pretty stark. AH shames him on organization, planning, and preparation, tho, the play on fear and darker themes as demagoguery are quite similar, minus the blatant antisemitism for which immigration of the not - us served that purpose.

If it does come to that, I won't turn you in for all the anti-Trump posts you've made here.

Unless they ask.

I'll sing like a canary if I think it might save my ass.

You'll enjoy doing it. :(
