$153 million in Bill and Hillary Clinton speaking fees, documented

Tell me she isn't bought.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/05/politi...paid-speeches/

Quote:

(CNN)Hillary Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, combined to earn more than $153 million in paid speeches from 2001 until Hillary Clinton launched her presidential campaign last spring, a CNN analysis shows.
In total, the two gave 729 speeches from February 2001 until May, receiving an average payday of $210,795 for each address. The two also reported at least $7.7 million for at least 39 speeches to big banks, including Goldman Sachs and UBS, with Hillary Clinton, the Democratic 2016 front-runner, collecting at least $1.8 million for at least eight speeches to big banks.

The analysis was made at a time when Hillary Clinton has been under scrutiny for her ties to Wall Street, which has been a major focus of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders on the campaign trail.

If she is bought by everybody, she is thereby bought by nobody.

Yawn, old news. You just wish somebody would pay for your jibber jabber, Joad.

When are we going to get a look at Trump's tax returns? What's he hiding?

Pio1980 08-07-2016 08:57 PM

Anyone here really think Donny dinkydick isn't tied into Wall Street and the Right wing beholden to it?

At least the people willingly paid to hear the Clintons speak. Trump simply rips people off and declares bankruptcy.

Assange says Wikileaks is working on it.

I sensed that to be a throwaway line from Assange, somehow trying to show that he's an equal opportunity hacker.

We at least have figures from one candidate on their earnings.

Of course they paid willingly.

They are getting political favors from the Clintons worth far more than what they are paying them. It's a bargain for them.

I'm sorry that this subject is so embarrassing for you that you have to try to deflect it and make it about Trump.

Do you have any proof of that?

Because there is plenty of proof that Hillary has been bought and paid for.

Not really. There's proof she and Bill took money for speeches. Even your girl $arah Palin takes $100K and Rudy Guiliani makes $270K per speech.

http://www.salon.com/2013/07/17/the_...avies_partner/

For that matter, Hillary gets $200k per speech, but The Donald gets $1.5 million per speech. Does that mean he's 7.5X more bought and sold than Hillary?

Dude, I despise Republicans as much as I do the Clintonistas.

But I understand your need to misrepresent me like that as you candidate is indefensible on her own.

Really?

I am unaware of that.

Can you document it?

Of course not. “The Donald earned a staggering $1.5 million per speech at The Learning Annex’s ‘real estate wealth expos’ in 2006 and 2007,” according to Forbes. “Trump appeared at 17 seminars and collected this fee for each one.”

Those advisors might just be beholden to The Donald if he wins.

I've heard that your precious Donny makes $1 million per speech. If he'd release his tax returns like the Clintons have done we would know for sure. How is that deflecting?

No transcripts?

No tax returns.

That's how I'd play it, and I suspect Trump might do the same. ;)

What do Obama's transcripts have to do with Hillary's campaign? You've lost it.

Is that the same thing as what the Clinton's did?

If it is, I don't see it.

Trump wasn't even a political figure back then.

How could there be some expectation that in return for these fees he was going to someday get himself elected and do favors in return?

And who pays for these fees at seminars like this?

Gullible schmucks that pay big bucks to listen to some huckster tell them they too can make all their dreams come true, all they gotta do is stand is front of the mirror in the morning and tell themselves they're awesome.

It's just one of those many scams based on P.T. Barnum's observation that '"there's a sucker born every minute." Yeah, it's sleazy, but it's not the same as the Political "Pay to Play" game.

Transcripts would show nothing other than her saying complimentary things about a group who payed her to speak to them. What the hell else would you expect?

TJ's no doubt referencing all the behind closed doors smoke filled room transcripts.

I think he's talking about transcripts of her speeches. That was what her opponents have been hollering about for months. They want to find something embarrassing if she complimented Goldmans Sachs or some other Wall St. firm while being paid to speak to them.

Speaking of deflecting. Still yammering on about Hillary's speeches, eh TJ?

Do you really think she said something incriminating and none of those in the audience would've leaked it? Really?

I would imagine that the text of such speeches, given more or less in private, is copyrighted material so why should it be given away in effect?

If she has nothing to hide, then she should come clean and release them.

Same could be said about Trump's tax returns.

Perhaps.

Which is why they should be released, along with Hillary's transcripts. And then let the voters decide.

Typical response from a Trumpist. Different rules for the Clintons while Dodgy Donald hides his tax returns. Once a conservative always a conservative.

'Fuck that sh!t' as the kids say.

It's going to be sweeeet when your boy goes down in flames this November, Joad. I can't wait for the moaning and excuses for why Trumpolini lost and lost badly.

Same rules.

Either they both keep them under wraps, or they both release them. Where do you get "different rules" out of that?

Are you shittin' me, Tommy boy? Didn't you recently boast of an IQ of 140+? Don't be playin' stupid now Joad.

The Clintons have released their full tax returns. Why won't Dodgy Donald?

I'll wait for an answer.

You'll have to ask him.

What I have said is that if it were me, I would insist on a transcripts for tax returns deal.

I wouldn't give up a bargaining chip without getting something in return.

I learned that from you.

Remember your reply to me way back when I complained about Hillary not being fair with Bernie?

No?

Well I do.

It was "It ain't bean bag". ;)

They have already started to make excuses for Donald losing...

The system is rigged.

The debates were scheduled to Hilary's advantage.

And a few other excuses I can't think of right now because I'm in a hurry.

Weak sauce troll. You're just afraid that your precious Trumpenfuror will get exposed for taking loans from Russkie oligarchs when US banks cut him off for being a bad risk.

I can tell you one that is valid.

The media is in the tank for Hillary.

This one Ben Carson gets right on the money.
