Sturman crossed the street and walked into the middle of the group of Trump supporters. The criminal complaint says the members of the group were standing close to one another, shoulder-to-shoulder. The complaint says Sturman then pulled out a flag and began to light it on fire.

The Trump supporters attempted to put out the fire, which “enraged” Sturman. Sturman then threw a Trump supporter to the ground and attempted to jump on top of him. Bystanders alerted nearby officers, and police removed Sturman and placed him under detention.

Something tells me we're going to see more of this. :rolleyes:

Trump supporters have been doing shit like this for months with encouragement from Trump. How come you never posted that?

I wonder if those Trump street thugs realize that burning the flag is protected speech in this country?

Three reasons -

1) Your fellow forum members beat me to it, and its been discussed.
2) There have been a couple of instances of Trump supporters getting out of line. Few instances compared to what some of the anti-Trump folks have been up to, since you like to bring up such "moral comparisons". :rolleyes:

Seeing as we only have the account of what happened as told by Trumpists. I'm guessing they laid hands on the "Democrat" to stop him from burning the flag and he resisted but then as usual, it's typical of you to fill in the blanks before we get the full story.

Well, I'd check out the thread's title.

It surprised me that Trump, given the nature of his politics, never established street presence.

Social unrest benefits his candidacy. Promoting it seems an obvious move, but apparently that thought would take him outside his zone. So that helps us dodge the bullet--so far.

But shussh. There might still time for this strategy.

You know, whell, when you're right, you're right. The violent party is the one that supports sensible limits on the sale and ownership of firearms, the reining in of the militarism of our police and the out-of-control use of deadly force, and an end to wars of choice. Whereas the good guys are the Republicans, who oppose the Democrats on all these issues and who have nominated a presidential candidate who routinely urges his followers to acts of violence and whose surrogates are priming his followers for "blood in the streets" should Trump lose.

Too bad the guy didn't die. Then he could have been Trump's John Birch.
