Stop Trump Fundamentalists Can Bite Me

This article really captures a lot of the way I feel about this election.

http://www.counterpunch.org/2016/08/...s-can-bite-me/

Quote:

Stopping Trump is like fundamentalist religion. It’s not supposed to require any reasoned explanation. In this aspect, it now reflects the irrationality it decries in the Trump campaign.

Trump has bad taste. He makes liberals squirm. He makes racist, sexist, homophobic and stupid remarks. He’s on his third trophy wife and he Tweeted pictures to make the point that his wife is better looking than Ted Cruz’s wife. He owns gold toilet seats. I mean ICK, YUCK. EEUWWWWWW. He would be such a mortifying President of the USA
.

Quote:

But let’s be honest about this. Trump is also on record in opposition to the Trans Pacific Partnership. He even likened it to rape. He’s on record saying he wants to reinstate the Glass-Steagall Act to re-regulate the banks and financial industries in the wake of the 2008 collapse that so many of us haven’t recovered from and never will. He says that Big Pharma should have to bid on contracts with Medicare instead of charging whatever they damn well please for their pills.

Liberals seem shocked whenever I cite these arguably winning policies. They insist that Trump will walk all that back, that we can’t trust a word he says. To which I say, “You trust Hillary, she of the 30,000 deleted e-mails, the $250,000 Goldman Sachs speeches, and the poverty pimping and corruption empire otherwise known as the Clinton Foundation?”

Counterpunch has officially jumped the shark. Their Clinton Derangement Syndrome has reached the end stages where they gnaw on office furniture and drool on their spittle flecked keyboards.

I've probably read too much Charlie Pierce, PJ O'Roarke and Mark Twain. :o

The problem, Tom, is that it seems to have started working. And, if it works it's because Trump truly is an assclown, a joke. Hs mouth and the stupid shit he says will be the sole reason for a Clinton win.

1). It was some kind of trick to deliver the Whitehouse to Hillary from the start.

Or,

2). Trump is just a bored, narcissistic billionaire trying to feed his insatiable ego, that has no clue how to run a government.

Either way, it's not good because millions of Americans are being had.

I have the authorized edition of his complete works. I've read through them several times and always find something I've missed before. Very funny man.

'Twould require a cranio-rectal extraction first.
Covered under the pre-existing clause of the ACA, of course.

Anybody that says anything the least bit negative towards your Queen Bee has, according to you, "Jumped the Shark".

I would not describe Finn as a Clintonista in the slightest. I think he is firmly in the lesser of two weevils camp. One need not love Hillary to conclude that Trump is unfit to govern.

I'm a "lesser of two Evils" type myself.

But I see Trump as the lesser Evil, not Clinton.

For that I get pig piled on just about every post I make.

On the other hand Finn is one of the fair haired favorites of the Clintonista Clique. Yeah Clique might be a better word than Cult, because this place is sure beginning to remind me a lot of High School.

Have you seen the polls, TJ? Moldy Cheeto Hitler is taking a drubbing and we haven't even seen how dissing a Gold Star mom gets reflected in the polls.
I'd hazard a guess he'll be at negative double digits by week's end.

If a Repub has lost the VFW, they are truly lost.

Hardly. Trump is simply a disgrace to our national character and appeals to those with hearts as dark as his.

People who are deliberately provocative, antagonistic and ignorant tend to get shunned.

Then take one. Nobody's stopping you and, sure as shit, nobody's feeling sorry for you.

Oerets 08-01-2016 09:06 PM

Any one who felt the Bern and if a true believer in improving social issues would never support Trump. But if someone is angry, upset at their guy loosing, lashing out is expected. But you have to look in the mirror once and awhile. When alone need to be honest with yourself.

Just how can a person once seeing and hearing how Trump reacted to the Gold Star family then now continue to do so support him?? How much of ones soul or integrity is lost by letting this be rationalized then accepted? Must get easier the more one does it! Trump supporters have been doing it for so long now must be all running together.

TJ you are on vacation have some fun, relax, stop the hate and move on. You are just one person one vote after all and we elect presidents thru the Electoral Collage after all.

Try not to take everything so personally or to the extremes. Roll with the flow and remember, you win some and you lose them all. Besides Clintrump manage to rub a lot of people the wrong way and not worth fighting or losing sleep over.

With all due respect I reject your hypothesis. I am very comfortable with myself and my decision regarding this election.

The way I see it is, worst case scenario, and I'm not buying into that yet, is that Trump is an incompetent bigot.

Better to have an Incompetent Bigot representing the right, then a Wall Street War Monger representing the left.

If you can't see the logic in that POV, then there is nothing I can do to help you.

Food for though.

People who support Trump are generally maligned and marginalized with pejoratives like, "your and idiot" or "your stupid." Clearly you have made a rationed decision and are neither stupid nor an idiot.

Good post.

I disagree.

Not that Trump embarrasses those values but rather because Hill is perceived as the enemy.
