Apart from the crave for notoriety Z has a hustler's instinct.

I would be willing to pay extra if George would swallow a bullet from it!

When George Zimmerman's obituary is published let me know.

Anything else about him, I'm not interested.

I'll bet the $65 million bidder reneges.

What a disgusting cesspool of a country we've become!

Pio1980 05-13-2016 09:52 AM

Gunbroker pulled the ad, it's up, down, and back in a lesser known site.
Gun culture here has gotten so politically and socially toxic, I avoid contact with it as much as possible.

I am ready to pay $50 million for Zimmerman's pale ass.

mpholland 05-13-2016 04:40 PM

I think little enough about the seller, but a buyer would be far lower.

MrPots 05-13-2016 09:20 PM

The gun is a piece of Americana, it's a chunk of what our society has become. It belongs in the Smithsonian.

Yea....

That's the ticket......

Why can't the media ever get anything right, last night the comment was 'the former neighborhood watchman' NO Dammit he was never part of Neighborhood Watch, I was back in Ottawa and we would never have let a cretin like Z in the door.

He needs killing.

donquixote99 05-18-2016 07:18 PM

These people can make you crazy. I was recently fantasizing about the right way to conduct an interview with Ann Coulter. "Scream and leap" was the phrase....

MrPots 05-18-2016 07:22 PM

someday they gonna find this guy dead, and nobody will care.

That sentiment expressed by hundreds every day about countless people who end up dead. They all prob. thought they had a good reason to hate as well.

Fantasy only in my case, but point taken.

Still, I am convinced i have the right interview plan for Coulter, if the occasion ever arises....

The only problem is this guy hates, and then kills. And he is a sociopath to boot. And a fair portion of society affirms his hatred.

Unfortunately the same can be said of many who kill for all manner of perceived wrongs, self justified hatreds, and cultural norms.

The act of killing itself demands a sociopathic mindset, as one must ignore/disregard the well being/right to life of the victim.

Cat, I'm not talking about many people, in an attempt to diffuse the topic. I'm talking specifically about Zimmerman. I'm not deviating from Zimmerman. This thread is about Zimmerman. Let's stay on topic.

Our conversation comparing Zimmermans's hatred to those who hate him and the inherent hatred of many killers for their victims seems to be a logical progression of thought.

It's all good - post away.

If anyone earned bad karma its this A-hole. hope it catches up too him.

HarmanKardon 05-21-2016 01:03 PM

This story is so extremely sad. Not just because it is a very very American story.

sheltiedave 05-22-2016 08:32 PM

Chris, we strive to make it a far less common story, but so many people get brainwashed they feel a gun will protect them. Very few gun owners make it to a gun range to become proficient in firing a gun in a totally static situation, and then only a few thousand in each state ever get involved in threat stimulations where they learn to handle themselves walking through various environments, having to discern whether moving cardboard shapes are threats, and firing accordingly.

Amongst the most highly prized figures in American history is the rugged cowboy, with six gun hanging in its holster, ready to dispense frontier justice to scofflaw and evil doer in equal measure. This concept exists in its most extreme form in our modern, codified "stand your ground" law that immediately protects and indemnifies any gunowner who acts out of fear for his person, often imagined.

Hrard an interesting interview on NPR with Pamela Haag, the author of The Gunning of America.
It basically examines the history of how making romantic nonsense of firearms in America turned the 2nd Amendment into a virtual religion for profit.
