Kansas

and other States, are drafting health care legislation of their own (pre Obama plan).

noonereal 03-18-2010 05:46 PM

I saw that. Reminded me of school yard kids.

finnbow 03-18-2010 06:34 PM

Virginia and Idaho have already done so and 35 more states in total are talking about it. This could get interesting.

sounds like a lawyers dream

Twodogs 03-18-2010 06:49 PM

I always said the South would rise again, but it sounds like they might have some Northern help this time.

BlueStreak 03-19-2010 12:35 AM

Well god for Kansas.

If Virginia has enacted healthcare legislation, you can't tell. As a matter of fact, they just cut something on the order of $150,000,000 from the state healtcare system.

See, this is the Republican idea of healthcare reform;

If it gets expensive, you simply quit paying---There, problem solved.

Regards,
Dave

Rise and do what?

Dave

merrylander 03-19-2010 06:53 AM

Glad they are rising, they have been laying down on the job for too damn long already.:p

noonereal 03-19-2010 07:49 AM

I hope their rise helps stop the flow of tax dollars from the productive blue states to them, I am tired of taking care of folks who want to live on a one way street, Entitlement Road.

What exactly do you Bluebellies produce besides government employees, crooked bankers, paperwork, and welfare recipients?

I may guilty of plagiarism, but I'll never admit to it.

You can adobe wall my assets, if you think that you can make it stick.

Gotta confess to ignorance. I don't get the adobe wall reference. I'll really feel silly if it is from the same song, but I haven't heard it for at least 20 years.

I picked up "adobe walling" from a book, a reference to the Mexican Army's penchant for standing people in front of an adobe wall and then shooting them.

Same song, slightly modified.

Leave it to one of you gun freaks to come up with that.:D If I really wanted to punish you, I would chain you up and make you continually listen to Taylor Swift, Kenny G, and Barry Mainilow - although there might be some Geneva Convention constraints on such punishment.

Old Bloody Bill. Yeah, the Civil War in Kansas and Missouri was pretty awful.

Pretty interesting use of the present tense there, Chas. I suspect you have a reason for that, and I suspect that there is some thought behind it.

Well, there's always a civil war going on somewhere, and they often end in genocide.

I sincerely hope that we don't have another, as I simply don't have the blood lust for one.

I do expect that you would try to be a voice of reason at such a time. I believe there are voices of reason on the left and on the right. I still hold out hope that the appeal to reason can somehow be heard above all of the appeals to divisiveness and hatred. Yeah, I know I'm one of thos lib dreamers.

D-Ray

Sun Tzu said to always allow your foe the means to escape.
