Deadbeat Rancher Cliven Bundy Faces The Music

'Judge orders Cliven Bundy held, citing 'ongoing defiance of federal court orders''

"A federal judge Tuesday ordered Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy to remain in custody pending trial on a complaint stemming from his 2014 standoff with federal agents trying to round up his cattle grazing on public land.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Janice M. Stewart found Bundy, 69, remains a danger to the community and a risk to flee, citing his "ongoing defiance of federal court orders.''"

How was your vacation in Bundyville, DJ?
I hear the FBI is still looking for other unnamed co-conspirators from the 2014 Bundy Lalapallosa in Nevada.

Whatever, DJ. Keep trying to change the subject.

I get that your hero, a feral cattle rancher and general deadbeat with no respect for the land has turned out to be just another run of the mill rightwing grifter.

Wouldn't you just love to really bust up some dirty hippie, instead of just talking some trash on the internet?

As someone who has served warrants -- as a State officer -- with the FBI, I assure you that Agents spend most of their time justifying their budget.

If they had a case, she'd already be arrested.

There is no case.

Well, there certainly is a case against Bundy. The problem with becoming a publicity whore is that lots and lots of evidence is collected by the media. The shots of Bundy's co-conspirators taking aim at federal officers are pretty damning. By the way, there have been numerous adjudications against Bundy finding that he was breaking the law. I haven't heard, but I would assume that criminal contempt of court would be one of the charges he is facing.

As far a Bundy being productive, it appears to me that he was a welfare cheat. He sponged off of the government and was unwilling to pay for it.

D-Ray

It was all about free grazing land as was the pathetic attempt by his offspring in Oregon.

Every time is see these jackasses I think of my Uncle and cousins in Montana and their neighbors locked in perpetual fights over who owns what patch of land, moving fences around and filing lawsuits. Anyone familiar with these western ranchers knows how they are.......and has little sympathy for their BS. All of this has historic roots in the sloppy, haphazard way the west was "settled". Some of those families have been at it for 150 years, more or less. And most of them hate the federal government.

Oerets 02-17-2016 06:30 AM

When one considers just how the land in question was acquired from the original owners. No mistaking the feeling it is free for the taking by any who want it. (""Entitled"")

By force if need be, with little regard to rule of law. Not much has changed over the passing of time it now seems.

I have no idea how many idiots I heard claiming that Bundy and his family are examples of "...what makes America great..." followed by the same old taglines about welfare recipients, food stamps, etc., etc...........

Yet, his whole thing all along was to gain access to free grazing from the federal government. And now the taxpayer is supposed to provide him with a free lawyer?

Do you see why I dislike these so-called "True Patriots" so intensely?

They don't want to stop others from getting "free stuff", they want exclusive right to the "free stuff". They apparently think it's a birthright, somehow.

Every single day, I listen to Good ol' Boy Virginia "Conservatives" bitch others being lazy and "entitled"......... As they stretch out their breaks, make lame excuses, shirk responsibilities on the job and complain, complain, complain...........

Assholes.

Looks like the FBI isn't finished arresting Bundy's supporters. :)

"Federal agents have arrested Jerry DeLemus, a local Tea Party leader who stood with Cliven Bundy armed resistance in 2014 and again this year, in connection with the standoff. DeLemus is facing nine federal charges based on an indictment brought in Nevada, including conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States, threatening a federal law enforcement officer, assault on a federal officer, obstruction of justice, attempting to impede or injure a federal law enforcement officer, interference with interstate commerce by extortion, and several firearms charges, according to court records. - See more at: http://www.unionleader.com/FBI_arres....2wpzoHu3.dpuf

ps Another one of Bundy's boys was nabbed in Utah.

I wonder at the delay. Is it that the Malheur occupation moved the Feds off the dime or might it be that AG Lynch is prepared to do things that AG Holder wasn't?

I suspect the jailbirds already in custody are singing to the Feds and ratting out their confederates.

The dragnet continues...:D

"Eric James Parker, the Hailey electrician whose photograph aiming his rifle at federal agents near the Bundy Ranch in Nevada went worldwide in 2014, was arrested with three other Idaho men Thursday as part of a nationwide roundup.

FBI agents arrested Jerry DeLemus, co-chair of Veterans for Trump in New Hampshire, on Thursday following his indictment in connection with the 2014 Bundy Ranch standoff in Nevada, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported.

Federal charges against DeLemus included "conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States, threatening a federal law enforcement officer, attempting to impede or injure a federal law enforcement officer and several firearms charges," the newspaper reported.

Susan DeLemus, a state representative and fellow supporter of Donald Trump's presidential campaign, confirmed her husband's arrest to the newspaper. Trump announced that he was forming Veterans for Trump in July and named DeLemus among the co-chairs.

Jailed cattle rancher Cliven Bundy claims President Barack Obama, Nevada Sen. Harry Reid and others have stifled his constitutional rights as he sits in solitary confinement on charges stemming from a 2014 federal standoff, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday.

Bundy, 70, is seeking $50 million for the "illegal, unconstitutional, intentional and malicious acts" of the defendants, and wants an indictment against him quashed and his immediate release from jail in Portland, Oregon.

Bundy added that he's been in solitary since his arrest earlier this year — which constitutes "cruel and unusual punishment," claims the suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Nevada.

It's not only cruel and unusual punishment but, according to the UNHCR, it's torture.
