The Bush Surge

I hope this is an outlier.

I do not want to see Bush get back into contention. :(

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/polltra...e-emerson-poll

Quote:

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) surged into second place in a New Hampshire poll released Wednesday by the Emerson College Polling Society, although real-estate billionaire Donald Trump retained a double-digit lead in Granite State.

The poll showed support for Trump at 35 percent of likely Republican voters, a 17-point lead over Bush, who came second with 18 percent. The only other candidate with a double-digit showing was Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R). Although this is Emerson’s first poll of New Hampshire voters in the 2016 cycle, Trump’s standing is consistent with virtually all other polling of the state.

Tom Joad 01-28-2016 01:07 PM

Looks like it was a bit of an outlier.

The latest poll has him at 11% in New Hampshire, and as I understand it he has been concentrating his efforts and resources there.

The RCP average has him in fifth place behind Trump, Cruz, Kasich and Rubio, but he is in striking distance of 2nd. Trump is way out in front, but the next four are bunched up pretty tight.

This is pretty mind boggling. Bush has blown through $82 million bucks so far!

CarlV 01-28-2016 06:25 PM

I would love to see him run, he wouldn't get a single vote outside of gopper hardliners. PAC's would have a field day connecting him to his war criminal economy destroying brother too. :)

Jeb! Wants to Overturn Citizens United

Jeb! is feeling his oats after his New Hampshire "comeback" where he finished 4th with 11% of the vote. Now if he just had more money, think of what he could do!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michae...b_9203912.html

Quote:

It’s safe to assume that when most people say they want the 2010 Supreme Court Citizens United decision to be overturned, it’s because they’ve seen its disastrous effects and they want to see big money have less influence in politics. But GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush, who inspired a flurry of headlines on Monday when he expressed his support for reversing the decision, actually wants instead what many would consider an even worse system: one where billionaires can give unlimited money directly to the candidates themselves.

Ya ought to change the thread title to the "bush urge"......

Quote:

After spending $2800 per vote in Iowa, Jeb Bush and his super PAC, Right to Rise, have continued the spree by paying about $1200 per vote in New Hampshire. Investing an egregious amount of money in ads landed Bush in fourth place with 11 percent of the vote, according to election results as of Tuesday night.
And he's trying to spin this as his "comeback"

Exactly. Let us look at this as income redistribution by the GOP. ;)

I hope 'Right to Rise and Spend' contributes to our NorCal economy by spending around $5K per head; as we all know this is a very expensive area. Free Uber rides to all voters!

I think I'll email Jeb's campaign and tell them I'll vote for him on Super Tuesday for an even $1,000.

Up front, in cash, unmarked 10's and 20's, and no 1099 reporting at the end of the year.

Big fan of an racist and misogynist authoritarian? Congratulations.

If you believe that he'll accomplish what he promises (e.g., build a huge wall with Mexico's money and deport 12 million people), you have to be one of the most gullible or ill-informed people on the planet.

Actually I don't believe he'll even accomplish half of what he's promised but if accomplishes a quarter of it we''ll be better off.

Tell me something. You've offered up the standard leftist claptrap about racism and misogny.......Did you support Bill Clinton, a man who's had dozens of women accuse him of rape and sexual harassment. Are you down with rape as long as it further's your progressive goals? The ends justify the means right? you marxist pOS!

I don't know how I ended up here but it seems like every single poster is a moonbat.

I honestly didn't know that I'd stumbled into an honest to goodness leftist echo chamber. I mean if the sight were called netroots, media matters, daily kos or something like that I would have immediately recognized it as a purveyor of world class bat shit crazy leftist insanity and steered clear.

Marxist POS is inflammatory but Trump uber alles is not?

See how that works.....oh wait you don't, you can't.

Not everyone here is a lefty. It's a mixed group. But, there aren't many here who put up with BS regardless of party affiliation.

I was a Republican through Dubya's first election, but bailed on the GOP once they allowed the lunatics to take over the asylum. I've been an independent for 15 years now and have never been a registered Democrat. If you would have taken the time to read a bit on this forum before launching into your silliness, you'd realize that I lean toward Kasich.

and I was was a passionate supporter of Ron Paul in the past. This time around I was on the Rand Paul train until he made it clear that he didn't have the juice. I don't view Trump as the savior but he's given voice to my anger. He's a giant middle finger in the face of the political and media establishment. He says hell no to being politically correct. I absolutely love that about him.

Calling Bernie a marxist POS is OK. He's fair game.

Calling every single poster here a moonbat is ignorant (you don't know the place), immature, rude, and devalues the main thing a discussion board is good for. Which, to make sure you get the point, is discussion.

At least you're willing to admit that you're unhinged. Trump has absolutely no chance of getting any of his ideas implemented. People who buy into his silly shit should probably take the time to read Shirer's "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich," though it's probably 10 times as long as any book you've ever read.

I'm not so sure about that. Atlas Shrugged is rather long.

Do you actually think this cat has the intellectual capacity to read any book over 1,000 pages (Atlas Shrugged is 1,088 pages and Rise and Fall is 1,280 pages, per Amazon product info).

I doubt this cat has read anything longer or more challenging than The Limbaugh Letter.;)

Good, you outgrew Rand. The Dreiser novel is a good piece of literature.

But how does he intend to solve our problems? You don't solve problems with bluster and bravado.

And then there is the issue of yet another ruling class billionaire telling the working class to "trust me".......

Posts like this are no more fair or accurate than posts from the new poster regarding the mentality of the entire board here. If we are going to have discussion and not make it personal, let's have discussion and not make it personal.
