I don't know where he gets his middle class figure, it certainly isn't the USG Census Bureau.

Or am I missing something here?

i figured he was out of touch and not dealing with reality the day I heard him say, "This is America.....I believe everyone can be in the one percent."

WOW! Now that's a lofty goal.

It might be that one or two people can climb the ladder, but the days of American Exceptionalism are past. Your chances of improving your lot in this world are better in almost any other industrialized nation.

Here the way of getting better off is sending phoney "You have won $1,500,000" scams to elderly ladies, we get almost one a day. The giveaway is "Please remit the $5 delivery charge by check, no Money orders or cash". Sure, and then they will empty your bank account, But they do it by small odd amounts, $22 here $33 there hoping you will not notice.:p

On the pilot board there is a guy that makes money by ripping off old people with sweepstakes offers. Of course he is also the guy that boasts the most about being a job creator and one-percenter.

Whenever there was a fly-in I had to make sure he wasn't there before I went. I was concerned that if I had a few in me and he started running at the mouth . . .

Dammit do those dudes ever make me sick. It might be legal but . . .

There are lots of those. I have no numbers, but, I'm guessing more than thirty some years ago. You know, before we decided to remove ethics from the business world and started letting them think that anything that makes them even richer is good for all of us.

Uh, no it's not.

My mom left dad and I went back and forth state to state. Made myself a promise that I'd never put my own kids though anything of that nature and I lived up to it. Wasn't always easy though.

Dave some do it because they got tired of being used as a punching bag.

Or a cash cow.

I've never been married, but I've had my fair share of women who only hang around so long as I'm financing their lifestyle. The last straw usually comes when she stops asking and starts demanding.
