Read the article a second time, and think a second time.

The failure of Mueller has severely curtailed the impeachment fervor. The article is a huge whine to
soften, rationalize that reality.

Opponents of the present admin have encouraged cities and states to disregard, flout and impede the law of the land.
Now observe the bemoaning of the legal moves of a smart ag and a crafty senator, and the projecting of threats.

McConnell’s new posture toward Moscow

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...45d_story.html

Quote:
“Moscow Mitch” was red hot.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, on the Senate floor Monday, denounced critics (including me) who say his recent blocking of efforts to fortify defenses against another Russian attack on U.S. elections are aiding and abetting Vladimir Putin.

“For decades, I have used my Senate seat to stand up to Russia,” the Kentucky Republican protested.

Unfortunately for McConnell, two days later came a reminder that he has taken a rather different posture toward Russia of late. Indeed, it appears, he has been key to helping Russian oligarchs with ties to Putin skirt U.S. sanctions and invest in an aluminum mill in McConnell’s home state of Kentucky.

...
Moscow Mitch. As corrupt as they come.

Donny, Republican party sue over California tax return law

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/trump...170658256.html

This should be fun to watch, especially if/when it reaches the Supremes, who just said Repubes can gerrymander all they want. Hard to see how they can possibly rule against this one. States rights, etc...

Of course they can rule against it. They can do whatever they want. That's what power means.

A man behind a planned Aug. 24 “Straight Pride” rally in Modesto, California, said at a city council meeting there that the organizers were a “totally peaceful racist group.”

Trump really sucks more than I ever could have imagined.
What occupies my mind now is what comes after this abomination for the Republican Party?

Maybe I am overly optimistic but perhaps this a Gorbachev moment in which after the poop stain is flushed down the toilet any successor would be too boring for all the old white people in the midwest to cast a vote on.

We can all dream.
