A Little Perspective on Taxation

Per this graph, we rank 52 out of 81 countries in terms of taxation on $100K of personal income. What does this say with regard to the GOP's constant drumbeat of over-taxation, particularly in the face of a $13 trillion national debt? I'd say our tax burden is just fine, if not a little low. Now, spending OTOH is certainly out of control. Any serious proposals to cut spending out there (Tea Party demagoguery notwithstanding)?
