Been on Vacation

I've been on Vacation for the past couple of weeks. Didn't log in, while I was away. Have to try and catch up with everything.

My partner(Steve) and I drove from here in Phoenix up to Spokane, WA. Steve grew up near the Spokane area and he hadn't been back in 8 years. It was my first time in the state of Washington.
Steve has a bad back and can only ride for so long in the vehicle. On the way up we stopped one night in Vegas and the second night just south of Salt Lake City. We spent several nights in Spokane, visiting friends and seeing the area. Walked around where the World's Expo 74 was at. We then headed over to Grand Coulee, WA for a couple of nights. Grand Coulee is where Steve was born and where he graduated HS. It is such a small town, that wherever we went, we either ran into a friend or family member of Steve's. It was nice to be able to meet several of Steve's family members, that I had never met before. We then went to Seattle and up to the top of the Space Needle. Stopped by Portland, OR to visit a friend there. On the way home, we dropped down to San Francisco and spent the day walking up and down Fisherman's Warf. Had a great time, but good to be back home.

Hopefully I'll catch up with everything.

Sounds like my kind of vacation.

Hopefully a trip to San Francisco for us next year to visit relatives. I want to drive out the wife fly. Hate to go by myself across country.

HarmanKardon, I couldn't forget everyone. Just was having too much fun to log into the computer.

Oerets, San Francisco was beautiful. I would have liked to tour Alcatraz while we were there, but unfortuneatly they were booked up until Aug, 18th. We will have to plan a trip just to visit San Fran, some time. I also want to visit the Winchester Mystery house in San Jose as well, but wasn't able to make it this trip.

Cool vacation Justin. The Winchester House is definitely worth a look see then you should head over to the coast through the big trees in the Santa Cruz mountains. Half Moon Bay is nice destination (except on weekends).

Nice vacation. I went to the 74 Expo and lived about 80 miles North of Spokane from 78-84. Then moved back down to Portland and currently work there, but live in Vancouver, WA. Ironically, I have been in Phoenix since Tuesday.

Sounds like a great trip. But I can't believe that you visited the Space Needle without visiting the Experience Music museum (largely devoted to Hendrix). Unless it has moved, it is right at the base of the Space Needle.

Regards,

D-Ray

I've never heard of it, but then again I'm not a big fan of Hendrix.

Steve was also at the Expo in 74. He lived in Grand Coulee at the time.
What brings you to sunny Phoenix? How long you here for?
