Obama was sill working with ACORN to get people in houses they could not afford at the time.

Yes, Tom they do hate it, as is evidenced by the responses of one of our resident 'baggers, obviously determined to discredit and demean any and every action the president takes. Especially any action that might indicate that he doesn't really "hate the troops".
This is common and long running behavior among obsessed and deranged rightwing hacks.
The same brainwashed buffoons that believe every soldier returning from combat since the 1960s is routinely spat upon by all Democrats.
Have a great day!

It's important to remember that the first target for anger over the Vietnam War was Lyndon Johnson, a Democrat. ("Hey, hey, LBJ, how many kids did you kill today?") The opposition to the war wasn't partisan, really. Anti-war protesters believed that both parties were in the pay of the MIC. True, there were Democrats who ran for office on an anti-war platform, people line Gene McCarthy and George McGovern, but they were just trying to catch a wave. Hell, even Nixon ran on a promise to end the war. ("Peace with honor" and a "secret" plan to end it.)

"President Obama awarded the Medal of Honor to 24 veterans Tuesday, most of whom were initially passed over because they were Hispanic, Jewish or African American.
The emotional ceremony marked the culmination of a 50-year campaign waged by Mitchel Libman, a Korean War veteran who was convinced his childhood friend from Brooklyn was denied the nation’s highest commendation for combat valor because he was Jewish."
Thanks for doing the right thing, Mr. President.

Sorry Dave the facts state otherwise and has nothing to do with hate. The Op is insinuating that it's Obama's doing that these vets received the Metal of Honer. When in fact it was Bush 12 years ago who started the wheels in motion.

Correct. I struggle to see where any real connection was made between the Democratic party, in any official capacity, and the supposed anti-military bent of anti-war protesters. Were anti-Vietnam War protesters not beaten by Chicago cops outside the DNC in 1968? Being against a particular conflict, past or present, is not necessarily being anti-military, nor does it necessarily carry any political affiliation.
All I can figure is that it is just another false meme created by the propaganda machine to vilify for purely political reasons. Any basis in reality is tenuous at best.

How come I only see trolls trying to suppress the truth. No comment otherwise to debunk my statement, just name calling.
Because you all know the truth maybe and have no legs to stand on in re-writing history?
Thanks for doing the right thing, President George W Bush.

Maybe Bush was only doing it to put on a show or suffering from a guilty conscience?
If he was so concerned about war and a young mans duty to answer the call, maybe his privileged ass wouldn't have ducked Vietnam?

Fuck Bush. The greatest disrespect you can ever show our military is to waste their lives fighting and dying under false pretense.
When are you and the rest of this countries half-wits going to figure that out?
Dave
