Republican Primaries

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2023/07/23/p...ing/index.html

So, aside from Trump, what do you think about the other candidates in the primaries?

I do not like Christie politics but I like that he is telling truth about Trump.
Pence is still trying to say the insurrection was no big deal.
Not sure about the others but I hope there are not so many by the time for voting. Do not want to see the split vote benefit Trump.

I wouldn't give you a plug-nickel for any of 'em. For any of them to win the nomination they'd have to capture the MAGA vote. Certain things would have to occur for that to happen.

Will Hurd and Asa Hutchinson are both solid. I wouldn't trust any of the rest of them as far as I can throw them, but it is entertaining to watch Christie bash the Cheeto Benito.

The nomination is trump's to lose and he does not even have to debate (insult) his primary opponents. For that we all should be thankful and hope he does not change his mind.

How the various lawsuits affect his candidacy is anyone's guess and if he can stall or get postponements on the two Jack Smith cases, he is home free. As for the GA Fani Willis indictment(s), I think she over reached (RICO?) unlike the AG from Michigan and may turn out to be a big bust. No way it should have taken this long if she could have kept it simple and its a county wide case, not the state. Federal cases get precedence and this one could get shelved till the rest of the cases are sorted out/adjudicated. Just my $0.05 on the Fani case.
