As I read this piece from Timothy Snyder, regarding the deep implications of FBI corruption in New York, I kept thinking "How might things have been different if the FBI counterintelligence division had actually done its job?"

I was a little tow headed kid when my neighborhood in south central L.A. blew up in the summer of '65 because of this kind of 'so-called' policing. I wonder what's going through my older brother's head tonight in Memphis.

I came across this from a couple of years ago.
