Ok send me your Mcintosh stock so we can get going

The stylus is OMP-30 don't know what the cart model is. Thanks. This table is in really nice shape...everything works. It was buried among the BPC.

The cartridge is an OMP-30, a P-mount version of the Ortofon OM series cartridges. The stylus is a STY-30 stylus a line contact stylus next to the top of the line in the order STY-10 through 40. If it's in good shape your a very lucky fellow.

Thanks John

Seems to play fine I looked at the stylus with a magnifying glass and it seems ok to me. I played three albums on it. The Technics with this cartridge and needle sounds a bit more "trebly" than the Dual 622 with the Grado M1+ cartridge I have. The table had no dust on it and I think whoever donated it took good care of the stylus.

I have a lot of records but I am not really a vinyl guy.

I guess the real question would be what p-mount turntable is the best match with this cartridge and stylus.

Pribably one of the better Technics linear trackers like the SL-10 or something like an SL-M1, M2, or MA1.

But, unless you're very lucky, you won't find any of these at the local thrift.

Technics developed the T4P (P-mount) standard principally for linears, so most of the good tables that used them were Technics linears.

Went back to Savers after hitting it this morning since I thought they might put out some more stuff.

I found Elvin Bishop's Home Town Boy Makes Good and Utopia's Adventures in Utopia on perfect vinyl for a buck each.

I bagged some Isaac Asimov paperbacks...the complete Empire and most of the Robot series. I have had a late in life discovery of the Good Doctor his stories are warm and fun reading...sort of like watching Star Trek.

There was this old blue metal 32MM(?) commercial movie projector that looked very heavy and was about as tall for me that someone bought for $199. I want to say it was made by Universal Projector company in North Hollywood but I might not be remembering it right. I bet it was a big score. You would need a truck to move it.
