No collusion that he can make stick. Apparently the Trump Tower attempted collusion doesn't count.

Punted on Obstruction of Justice.

My take is Mueller blinked, perhaps fearing institutional damage/instability if this Pres. were pushed to the wall.

It's a good thing the Repubs don't have the House just now, they'd make March 24 a national holiday.

And it's worth keeping in mind that we don't have the Mueller report, we have the Barr report on the Mueller report. A bit cherry picked, one may suppose....

He's not out of the woods yet, there's still the Southern District of New York investigation going on.

"The Special Counsel states that “while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.”" AG Barr

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...gtype=Homepage

NY state has already shuttered Trump U as a fraud and awarded a $25 million judgement and shuttered the Trump Family charity for self dealing. Looking forward to the state looking into the money laundering aspect of the Trump family biz and the SDNY's investigation.

The most surprised by the Barr letter, the Trump supporter.
Not really so for everyone else.
For they, the Trump supporter know and feel, just suppress that he is a very deeply flawed person.
Very capable of all the accused actions.

Given everything Trump gets a pass on up to yesterday, this is in the norm.

Right. And if you keep reading:

After reviewing the Special Counsel's final report on these issues; consulting with Department officials, including the Office of Legal Counsel; and applying the principles of federal prosecution that guide our charging decisions, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and I have concluded that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel's investigation is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense. Our determination was made without regard to, and is not based on, the constitutional considerations that surround the indictment and criminal prosecution of a sitting president.

Further:

In cataloguing the President's actions, many of which took place in public view, the report identifies no actions that, in our judgment, constitute obstructive conduct, had a nexus to a pending or contemplated proceeding, and were done with corrupt intent, each of which, under the Department's principles of federal prosecution guiding charging decisions, would need to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt to establish an obstruction-of-justice offense.

In other words, all of the crap that was published in the various news rags since mid 2016 that the news - and some of you - were absolutely convinced would result in Trump and/or some of his family members doing a perp walk just went *poof*.

Logic:

"the report identifies no actions that, in our judgment, constitute obstructive conduct, had a nexus to a pending or contemplated proceeding, and were done with corrupt intent."

This lawyerly declaration means a thing can meet any two of the three elements mentioned, and no be chargeable. And further, it's self-identified as a judgement call.

For this, the right will read "TOTAL EXONERATION!"

George Conway @gtconway3d
You misspelled “While this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.” Pls fix. Thx.

Sarah Sanders @PressSec
The Special Counsel did not find any collusion and did not find any obstruction. AG Barr and DAG Rosenstein further determined there was no obstruction. The findings of the Department of Justice are a total and complete exoneration of the President of the United States.”
