Negative effects of social media, especially Facebook and Twitter.

People don't seem to realize that these social media sites are mainly to setup to make boatloads of money and every click makes money for these companies. I had always known this and as of yesterday, my wife perhaps is beginning to understand the damage Facebook is causing. Both wife, daughter and extended family are prolific Facebook posters which bothers me to no end.

Probably impossible to get the millennials to break the habit. And IMO, Hillary was damaged goods to begin with.

She was, but moreso by the negative campaign beginning ca two years previously and abetted by the Dems' not taking control of that narrative.

Supporting Bernie is a bad habit you can't shed. If you think the people who wouldn't vote for Hillary will vote for a Jew soci@list you're fucking nuts.

Sanders was Trumps bridesmaid.

As you can see all of the things that the so-called Progressive Bernie preached are further out of reach:

National Health/Medicare For All? The Sanders Legacy: Repeal of the individual mandate.

The end of income equality? The Sanders Legacy: massive tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy that don't expire. The small ones for the middle class start to expire in the 2020s.

Reigning in Wall Street: The Sanders Legacy: Just the effing opposite.

Minimum wage increase? The Sanders Legacy: Is not going to happen for years now.

Demons by Dostoevsky.

The concept of a ideas take over people with horrible results.

Ike you should not use derogatory terms in your posts.

The early knowledge that Hillary was going to run inhibited many potential Democratic candidates. Hillary was a "certainty". Plus who wants to offend
the Clinton machine.

So it was left to the old Jewish guy to enjoy himself,...to indulge.

Bernie was a side show created by the Democratic Party and he got the attention of progressives like me. There was prevailing Bush fatigue (elitism) and Clinton fatigue (entitlement). The GOP was smart enough not to nominate a Bush, the Democrats were dumb enough to nominate Hillary.

Now a few people here want to blame this on Bernie, so be it. Stupidity begets more stupidity. Someone should write a book 'Why Hillary Lost'. Will only have one page in it and it will say it's the last name stupid.

Hillary without the last name Clinton will not get elected mayor of Chappaquiddick.

Bernie and the other geezers need to step aside to make way for some young blood.

I'm a moderate independent who hates the stupidity, bigotry, racism, zealotry and divisiveness of Trumpism and the Tea Party zealots. Religion has no place in politics! No fan of Bernie's sociali$m, either.

Will we ever be able to get back to the point where a moderate of either party can run, and win? Doug Jones' win over bigotry and zealotry, in the reddest of redneck states, is encouraging, but a huge majority of Repubes still stand in support of the bigoted racist zealot in the Oval Office. Somehow they think his interests are aligned with theirs. Morons.

Trumpism is destroying our democracy, and must be stopped dead in its tracks. Decency must come back soon. You must believe in Spring...

The only story that matters when it comes to the 2016 election is HawaiiDelilah's comment to every fucking Trump voter.

Steel workers voting for Trump 'because of the way he talked about brown people' is bullshit.

Steel workers had a legitimate economic hurt.

Just because you want that to be true doesn't make it true, even if you want it so much the 'bullshit' label comes into use.

Studies show neither 'legitimate economic hurt' nor 'fortunate economic advantage' correlate with or against Trump support. But racial feeling correlates.
