It's far more entertaining than Atlas Shrugged -- but with more practical examples of consequences..

Just saying (because I don't want you to waste your honor and your life) -- know your enemy...
+1 to P.J. O'Rourke. He's my favorite political philosopher. When you finish "Eat the Rich," read "Parliament of Whores," "Give War a Chance," and "All the Trouble in the World," and "Peace Kills: America's Fun New Imperialism" (along with a few more). Great, laugh-at-loud stuff.

I haven't yet read his new one, "Don't Vote - It Just Encourages the Bastards." Gotta get it.

The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work and then they get elected and prove it.
I wanted that as my signature on the board, but it's too long.. I've read "Eat the Rich" and "All the Trouble in the World".

The part I want NoOneReal to read is where (and I paraphrase) P.J. goes thru the excersize of letting the workers at Firestone (don't remember) take the CEO out to parking lot, mug him for his salary, benefits, and car keys and then send him off tarred and feathered. They split it all between the 28,000 workers and everyone gets about 2 free Firestone tires that year. Then read what happens next...

Here's another goodie from PJ:

"When you looked at the Republicans you saw the scum off the top of business. When you looked at the Democrats you saw the scum off the top of politics. Personally, I prefer business. A businessman will steal from you directly instead of getting the IRS to do it for him. And when Republicans ruin the environment, destroy the supply of affordable housing, and wreck the industrial infrastructure, at least they make a buck off it. The Democrats just do these things for fun."

...It took about six months before anyone realized he was gone? The country club revoked his membership and when the notice reached his mailbox, his wife had just assumed he had run off to Aruba with "another one of his little whores"?
