This won’t be over until the entire Trump crime family is behind bars for their blatant and continuous crimes.

William Barr Can’t Exonerate Donald Trump
Despite what the attorney general’s letter to Congress states, his argument clearing the president of obstruction goes against established law and is profoundly dangerous.

Quote:
Barr’s reasoning should not be accepted, because it sits squarely at odds with settled law and amounts to an attempt to preempt Congress’ constitutionally assigned role to determine if the president has committed high crimes and misdemeanors.

Bill Barr’s Weasel Words
All the ways the attorney general is spinning the Mueller report to protect Trump.
https://slate.com/news-and-politics/...e-reading.html
Does anyone besides Trumpkin idiots like Whell doubt that Barr was brought in explicitly to protect Donny? He’s doing exactly what he was hired to do...

John Dean @JohnWDean
Having re-read William Barr’s June 2018 Memo critiquing Mueller’s obstruction investigation and now his summary of Mueller’s Report, it is clear that Richard Nixon would not have been forced to resign his office if Barr had been Attorney General. Barr wants a POTUS above the law.

In a nutshell, Barr said "Russia did hack the election, but Trump didn't coordinate, although maybe he did obstruct."

Further:
In cataloguing the President's actions, many of which took place in public view, the report identifies no actions that, in our judgment, constitute obstructive conduct, had a nexus to a pending or contemplated proceeding, and were done with corrupt intent, each of which, under the Department's principles of federal prosecution guiding charging decisions, would need to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt to establish an obstruction-of-justice offense.
In other words, all of the crap that was published in the various news rags since mid 2016 that the news - and some of you - were absolutely convinced would result in Trump and/or some of his family members doing a perp walk just went *poof*.

Obstruction is minor for the rabid ones. The big prize was COLLUSION...coordination. That would have declared Trump's presidency/admin illegitimate.
And Mueller despite tremendous pressure declared unequivocally that after 22 months of investigation he found no such coordination.
This is a hard blow to the CNNs, cold warriors, neocons and Clintonistas.
BTW anyone who observed Mueller closely knew this 'verdict' was coming...the only time Mueller broke his silence was on COLLUSION.

Trump has nobody but himself to blame for this investigation. He surrounded himself with lying grifters with myriad Russian ties, lied continuously about his contacts/deals with Russians, and tried to undermine the investigation at every turn. Fuck him and the horse he rode in on.

Can't obstruction of justice charges lead to impeachment proceedings?

Trump would probably enjoy being impeached because a Republican Senate will not convict. In addition, this victory against his Deep State foes will enhance his legend while possibly improving his reelection chances.
Your last line made me think of Deadwood's Steve the Drunk.
