I have no issue at all with the RS cover picture. What's interesting is that this same photo was used by myriad other media outlets without a squawk from anybody. Why the (faux) outrage now?

I posted this before but I am just completely void of understanding the problem with the photo.
He is the guy that did it right?
Does he have to have a bad guy look because we are too uncomfortable to think that a regular looking kid could do such a thing?
I just don't understand why this is an issue.
I just don't.

You're saying that you don't profile? That's a good thing. Thumbs up to you!

Not sure what you mean, Isn't the uproar over not throwing a turban on this kid for the photo op?
Did I mention I just don't understand the controversy?

I mean that I'm happy to see that you don't care what anyone looks like. You judge them by their actions.
Did I mention I just don't understand the controversy?

Me too neither!

I just finished the Rolling Stone article. It was very well written and informative, far better than anything I've read thus far about Tsarnaev.

In your opinion, was the photo on the cover appropriate for the context of the article?

Yes. The article focused on how normal, attractive and popular he was among all who knew him (from high school and college friends to his wrestling coach), but how he had a second secret life influenced by his older brother. It's a worthy read IMHO.
