There's only so far you can go with being 'counter to the Prof's POV' in a class. Some will harbor a counter-ideologue more or less gracefully, many won't. At the very least, you'll have to work twice as hard for a given grade. So it's not a question of 'strength of conviction,' it's one of 'there's always a price for bucking received opinion.'

I don't think that any grades are give, just a certificate of completion, worth nothing really. The value is yours to take.

OK, these are free, no-credit thngs. My comments were more appropriate for actual university courses.
I think one's time could be better spent. Certainly if one is not already well-informed, there's some danger in being led down a conservative garden path by this stuff. They will clearly engage in card-stacking, if not worse distortions, in service of the obvious ideological goal.

The University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, which was born of the split up of the old North American Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The HLC is recognized by the Department of Education.
Seems to be a rather small, probably expensive private liberal arts university with a conservative, Christian ethos but not aligned with any religious denomination.
I think it is one of those schools that wants to put out the vibe that it is sort of different but does not want to (very wisely) lose its link to the real world by dumping its accreditation.

As near as I can tell, Hillsdale receives no federal funding and does not allow any students to receive same.
Unusual.

Any form of government funding of education is evil.

I would be shocked if they are not letting qualified Veterans from using the GI Bill. That pays for tuition and gives the student a housing allowance for three academic years.
That would be unfair for a Vet and would cost University nothing since the VA pays the full tuition.

They consider affirmative action racism according to the president of that college.

They look like they offer a "full ride" for veterans if they qualify for a school scholarship.
However who knows how difficult it is for one to get this whereas the GI bill would be automatic for anyone who was a vet and able to be admitted under the admission policy of the school.
I understand strict admissions standards for any school, but to put restrictions on how one pays for it seems bizarre and extreme. I wonder how easy it is for a veteran to get a "Freedom Scholarship".
