We could do that.

In another thread I mentioned watching "Inside Job" the other night. It's the excellent documentary on the causes and aftermath of the 2008 bank/credit/financial meltdown. It was excellent. But what I had forgotten is with all of it, what actually infuriated me most was Obama's failure to take the action he promised in his campaign.

In 7 years he did absolutely nothing outside of having his various press secretaries and his various spokespersons in the Justice Department blubbering about how they had no basis for bringing a single scumbag from even one of the investment banking outfits involved to trial for their malfeasance.

It's probably number 2 or 3 on my 30 item list of disappointments in Obama's performance, and maybe number 1 in my list of bait and switch bullshit he pulled on the people who voted for him.

PS - I'm one of millions who recognized this and felt the same about it when we voted for him a second time in 2012...which says something about how bad the GOP is.

An Harvard insider. Wall Street, despite the "community adviser" some of us
would like to hang on him, loves Obama.

Rented Birdman last night. No Hollywood cookie cutter for this one. A bit bizarre at times. I liked the way the movie blurred the lines between his insanity and reality.

Regards,

Saw "It follows". It got raves from critics tho I'd have trouble recommending it to anyone but horror fans with a taste for "art house" films. One of the fellows I saw it with wanted the time back. I'd give it points for acting and "atmosphere". Slow moving creep-ish plotting centered on a group of teens believing that a haunting dangerous presence acquired via sexual intercourse might be discarded/passed thru the next sexual encounter. The main theme is an ever-present dread brought by being followed by a sinister entity visible only to the victim.
