You might find a video " The Corporation" interesting. It has a significant lefty slant, but some of the information in it about Monsanto is astounding. The video starts from the premise that a corporation is a person. That person is then psychoanalyzed, and the conclusion is that the corporate person is a psychopath.

D-Ray

Even though they have never tested the products the FDA says milk from cows injected with Monsanto's rBST hormone is safe. Because the rBST also makes cows susceptible to illness they are given antibiotics by the carload and they are in the milk. So the next time you need an antibiotic you will find that all the approved ones the bugs are resiistant to. The development of new antibiotics has slowed dramatically.
Monsanto has bought our government lock, stock and barrel.
Most of our government agencies suffer from revolving doors.
At least the AEC has not called lately, they used to phone about every three years to see if Florence is still alive.

Probably because they don't exist anymore, Rob. They got folded into DOE when it was created in 1977 under Jimmy Carter. I still get letters from DOE (I retired from there over 2 years ago) with dosimetry information from past visits into radiologically contaminated areas, including Mound (and many others). The Mound site is now mostly just a green field after extensive environmental rehab work there.

I simply stated that the point you were making was a false equivalency.

We're all Downwinders in my family. So is anyone else who lived in the LA basin in the late '50s.

She tells me that they sealed the lab opposite hers said it would be radioactive for 100 years. Of course that was five floors down in the Mound. Guess it was DOE because the last phone call was about 1998 or 9. Iasked if they planned to recompense her for the surgery and got a flat no.

No, to not answer would be to say nothing.
You did answer. But your answer contains no substance, just a bit of a derrogatory comment. You lose a few more points.

DQ, I appreciate that your response to snarkiness, name-calling or the like is not more of the same, but an explanation why a particular position is illogical or silly. We probably engage in a bit too much name-calling here, but I firmly believe that any behavior, method of argument, logical misstep, inconsistency, ignorance, and inability to put together a coherent sentence are fair game for full-on critique.
