Watched 'Emperor' last night. It's an excellent movie, perhaps a slight touch romance heavy. If it's historically accurate it's an amazing story, if not, still worth watching. Highly rec'd.

BRAT: The movie which brought Aleksei Balabanov some attention.

The protagonist Danila is a novice hit man with redeeming features.
Its 1990s Russia and everything is up for grab.

The director has a feel and an eye for the time.

I really like this movie. In Russian with reasonable English sub.

I watched an excellent French film on Monday; "Mobius".

These goofs only rate it at 6.1 out of 10. I thought it was excellent. More like somewhere between 9 to 9.5 on my scale, which goes to 11.

I'm thinking lazy American viewers didn't like having to read subtitles. The movie is mostly in French and Russian.

Netflix just got Kill Bill 1&2.

I had never seen them before.

I just finished #1 and I gotta say Quentin Tarantino is an absolute genius!

#1 was awesome! and I can't wait to watch #2.

That being said Quentin Tarantino is one sick psycho dude.

Love his movies but I wouldn't want to have any kind of personal association with him.
