Diversity

Diversity; Tolerance; Discrimination. I've gotta admit that my beliefs on these subject are a bundle of contradictions. And I'm tired of the arguments I have with myself.

In another thread I brought up the topic of a post-racial America, although I admit to not really knowing what it means. I thought I'd start a new thread than to crap on that thread any more.

Does a post-racial America mean that race or ethnicity don't matter at all? Promoting diversity is impossible without recognizing that there are differences. If we promote diversity we are forced to encounter differences. But if we resolve those differences, don't we also eliminate some of the diversity? Anyone have any great ideas?
