Dondilion seems to know a lot about this.

All I know is that I'm getting a Deja Vu All Over Again feeling that our government is trying to push us into another cold war with Russia.

I bought into the first cold war when I was younger, but I'm not going for it this time.

Like the saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me."

I remember exactly when my education as to how our government lies to us began. I was in the 7th grade at Largo Junior High School, when Eisenhower, whom I revered as a fucking hero, still do as a matter of fact, got caught lying his ass off about the U2 incident.

He's probably thinking of the time that Medvedev and he traded jobs and than swapped back again.

So to be clear he did not lose the election. He could not run since he was up against the consecutive third term limit. Medvedev won the election and appointed Putin Prime Minister.

Precisely. You gotta admit though that it was a stunt reminiscent of the Politburo at it's most cynical.

And Putin didn't return the favor by letting Medvedev term limit out. It was one term and out for old Dmitry, just long enough for Vladi to "reset".

Wasn't Medvedev Putin's man?
