How else to explain why every seemingly normal, intelligent person that goes to DC becomes just as dumb as a post.

2) Power.
3) Disillusionment.

They go in thinking they can solve everything, and that the people will love them for it.

The Innocents Abroad have returned. Perhaps that's not an accurate title, Ma and Pa Kettle go to the Caribbean may be better.

Other than spending two days in airports it was fairly enjoyable. That and those damn condo salesmen who won't take "no" for an answer. The Isla is becoming more popular...and overbuilt. The charm it once had is disappearing fast. Even my wife was ready to return.

Now she wants to go to Holbox. Boo, hiss!!!
