Fast-food worker strike about to go global

http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/...trike/8803193/

But then I very seldom eat in FF joints. It's good to see the workers get global attention to their plight. I don't know what the answer is but a living wage would be a start.

Works for me. I'm having leftover pork roast on ciabatta with some crunchy onions and fresh oak leaf lettuce and mayo and mustard.

Hit them where it hurts, their bottom line.

Good to see that you get fresh vegetables in the Tundra.

Guys, the sad part is, is that here is a reason this is going on. There are damn few "good" jobs left. We tried the "Everything is going high-tech, so everyone must get on board." thing and it failed miserably. Not everyone can do "high tech" and even those who can, expected to live well off of their skills; Something few employers want to hear today. They've come up in a political/business culture that tells them that generosity is bad and it's supposed to be all about them and facilitating their desires, ambitions and aspirations and to hell with the rest of us.

Thatis the basis for Ayn Rand style NeoConservative thinking.
Those who work for a wage don't deserve anything unless they say so.

By it's very nature, it will inevitably lead to serious problems.

Most people work for someone else, that's just how it is.

I don't know about you, but I don't exist just to help someone else get rich.

Dave
