It doesn't.

I don't know where you're coming from with that.

Obummercare?

That sure as Hell wasn't for the common good.

That was a giveaway to the Medical Care Industrial Complex.

Just hope you are never hospitalized Tom because the hospitals can't wait to find some excuse to discharge you, cured or not, if they are only allowed to charge what Medicare says they are.

I often wonder why everyone says "our drug companies"? There are maybe two max that are truly based here the rest are almost all European. The only reason they maintain a presence here is to get access to our research.

The only research they do themselves is in how to tweak a drug formula so it can be patented for another seven years (Purple pills anyone?) or to come up with another penis starch formula.

I spent overnight in the hospital about a year and a half ago when I had my stent put it.

Got red carpet treatment and it didn't even cost me a dime.

They didn't even ask for a deposit when I checked in.

I do have a BCBS policy that kicks in after Medicare pays their share.

Here is the reality.

Morons who gobble up fake news notwithstanding, the ACA could be defunded by a simple majority of the Senate and allowed to die on the vine, probably throwing off many Chumpsters in the process. But a replacement to the ACA is new legislation and can be filibustered. So Trump can't replace Obamacare but he can destroy it. I am not putting this past Trump, who ripped off his customers at TU.

Perhaps if some hospital CEOs kiss his ring he will let the ACA stay in certain hospitals....

The nation’s hospital industry warned President-elect Trump and congressional leaders on Tuesday that repealing the Affordable Care Act could cost hospitals $165 billion by the middle of the next decade and trigger “an unprecedented public health crisis.”

I can prepare you any kind of study on anything you want and make it come out anyway you want it to.

So do we but when Medicare says "This procedure is only worth x dollars" and pays 80% of x. BCBS only pays the remaining 20% and the hospital eats the rest.

Hospitals "eat" nothing.

That's a scam.

They grossly over inflate their initial charges.

Even after they "adjust" or "negociate" them down with your insurance company, they are still making a killing.
