To be fair, the "frothy" definition is a hoax.

Or vendetta? Perverse justice? The definition was the result of a contest staged by a gay activist to define Santorum after the candidate made some particularly offensive comments about gays. In other words, the definition was made up.

Here's an excellent article on the issue. Though written in 1994, the history and absurdity of America's War on Drugs still holds. Once again, we find Progressives at the root of the move to make drugs illegal in the early 1900s. Why anyone in 2012 would want to be associated with the Progressive moniker is beyond belief. Pehaps, people may remember the few good things achieved and forget all the bad caused by that stale movement.

A most fair minded post, other than I don't see that Santorum made any comments that were particularly offensive.

Amazing how you missed who actually pushed to start these laws. The 19th century version of big Pharma didn't want competition so they actually started it.

You sure it wasn't big oil and industry with the invention of Rayon. Hard to push an expensive man made product when a better product that grow free and easy is available. Think DuPont had more to do with it than Pharma (not that they were not originally and are now fighting harder than ever)
