Way back in 1971 the Yippies and others decided to shut down the government by blocking the bridges across the Potomac. The government responded with a D12 dozer. A truck convoy organizer (Bob Bolus) says that his group has plans to shut down the Capital Beltway in the D.C. region this week.

I wonder if this dipshit actually knows how big the Capital beltway is? FYI it's 64 miles all the way around. Maybe he thinks the Virginia State Police, Maryland State Police and the National Guard will just let them have their way?

The right of protest must be weighed and balanced. When it's actually an attack on the lawful government, it must be shut down. As humanely as possible, but bulldoze blockades, arrest blockaders, and overcome resistance to arrest.

What the Ottawa Occupation Force did wasn't exactly a peaceful protest. If "the convoy" tries to tie up D.C. and gets dealt with look for Reich-wingers to cry far and wide whattabout the BLM protests they claim burned down major U.S. cities coast to coast. Faux News will be calling the truckers law abiding patriots. These losers learned they could get away with a lot (slaps on the wrists) from Jan 6th.

For a while in my life I thought The Beltway was the name of a huge road. Then I found out DC had one ...

Which is why you want them heading for the Capital and Trump will loose support if the convoys get enough participants. Traffic jams. Anyone who has raided up and down the Shenandoah Valley as much as I knows that if you tried to double the daily traffic flow, cars and trucks would be backed up to Memphis. This play's to the blue's advantage.

The thinking of the GOP strategists, I'm pretty sure, is that it puts Biden in a nice bind. If he doesn't end the traffic snarls and paralysis of the capitol, he's weak and can't govern. If he does end it, he looks like the tyrant. Win/win.

With the possibility of a huge win if they can make 'can't govern' into a real 'revolutionary' crisis, that Trump can solve by 'taking over.'
