Max Warburg, "Hitler's bestie" who had to sell the family bank in Germany after the Nuremburg laws kicked in in 1935, and managed in emigrate in 1938? Wonder how much of his money he managed to get out? I must admit the readily available info on him is sparse. I do see he was in top German government circles (like advisor to Kaiser, delegate at Versailles) during and after WW1. Stands to reason he's the sort of fellow Hitler would play with some. The thing about conspiracy theories, of course, is they glide around on the 'conspiracy mindset,' the conviction that things are pretty much run by evil liars, who are so good at it, and basically all-powerful, that most everyone falls for the lies. If you just try to follow the facts without having the right mindset, they don't glide much.
